Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles

Bay Haven is a beautiful, restful location. I could have enjoyed the porch with a book for days but the charming town also has much to offer! The rooms were so special and no detail was overlooked. Jim and Tammy were welcoming and went out of their way to see to our comfort.

Are you looking for a way to “Relax, rejuvenate and restore,” get away from the electronic tether, and be at a shore location where you can watch the sunset at the beach without any more of an ambition than that? Try the Blue Haven Inn of Cape Charles, VA, a bed and breakfast (B&B). This was a first-time experience for us in a B&B. Proprietors Jim and Tammy made us feel like family, and were prepared to meet any need we had in the Inn during our stay. They are well integrated into the life of the town, having arrived there about 14 years ago, and they appear to be one of the bedrocks of the community for town improvements and growth – they can tell you all about the area and what is going on. A late morning, sit down breakfast at 9AM every morning is available with the other guests who elect that. It evolves into about a 45 minute to 1 hour recap of everyone’s the last day and options for the next. The special items they make for the breakfast are very tasty, and will not spoil your appetite for lunch at one of the spots around town. Highly recommend this establishment, and we would certainly look forward to returning in the future!

We highly recommend the Bay Haven Inn! The rooms are just the right size and so well decorated--it's like taking a step back in time. Tammy and Jim made our stay so enjoyable. Breakfast was yummy and we even got a free history lesson with it from Tammy. The town is so cute and the people so friendly. We felt we made friends after just a 2 night stay. If you are looking for a fun little town with shops, restaurants and art galleries, this is it.

Bay Haven Inn is a beautiful place to stay & the holiday decorations were awesome (both inside and outside:-)! We were in town for a quick Work Project so only stayed for 1 night, but the location is great (walking distance to all of the Restaurants/Shops) and the Owners, Tammy and Jim, were both very nice and helpful! Also, the Room, Bed, and Breakfast were wonderful! We highly recommend and look forward to our next stay when in town again!

Tammy and Jim are amazing individuals. We learned so much of the area. Jim makes a delicious breakfast. The accommodations are very welcoming and the beds are very comfortable. I had special dietary needs that they were happy to accommodate.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Bay Haven Inn. Tammy and Jim were amazing hosts. They were so kind, hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. They gave us great guidance, recommendations and answered all our questions. The breakfast they prepared each morning was amazing! The accommodations were lovely and very comfortable. They have thought of everything. They made our first trip to Cape Charles perfect and we can't wait to go back!
