I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

Wir kennen HF Hotels schon aus Lissabon und haben deshalb und vor allem wegen des Pools auf dem Dach dieses Hotel gewählt. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Dachterrasse mit dem Pool ist das Highlight! Leider wurde der Pool und die Bar bereits um 20 Uhr geschlossen...Das liegt wahrscheinlich an Corona. Die Bar im Erdgeschoss hat dafür auch abends geöffnet. Das Frühstück am Tisch wurde gut geregelt. Es gibt so ziemlich dieselbe Auswahl wie bei einem Buffet. Unser Zimmer im 15. Stock hatte eine tolle Aussicht bis aufs Meer. Das einzige Manko ist die Entfernung zur Altstadt, zu Fuß sehr weit. Aber in der Nähe des Hotels am Flussufer gibt es auch Restaurants. Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage kostet 11€ pro Tag.

Hostel mit einer Lage von 10. Alles in sehr guter Zustand, sehr neu. Komfortable und funktionale Zimmer: Das Bett hat ein Garten für Ihre Privatsphäre und schützt Sie vor Licht, Schüssel, USB und Licht, das Sie anschalten können, wenn Sie es brauchen. Sehr gemütliche Gemeindebereiche. Die Menschen sind sehr bedienend, aufmerksam und angenehm! Dinge zu verbessern: Einige Grunddienstleistungen sind bezahlt als Dusche- oder Taschentuch. Sie würden gerne Süßigkeiten für den Kofferkasten bereitstellen.

Gostava de deixar um comentário sobre o Novotel porque realmente surpreendeu-me muito pela positiva. Ia sem grandes expectativas. Vi alguns comentários que mencionavam a antiguidade dos quartos e a falta de modernidade. A realidade NÃO é essa. O Hotel é maravilhoso. A entrada é enorme, os funcionários são super simpáticos e facilitam a estadia. Ficamos num quarto com vista para o mar. Com uma boa casa de banho, com uma banheira grande. Os armários do quarto são imensos! Tem um sofá cama mesmo que seja um quarto para dois. A televisão era igualmente enorme! O quarto é bonito, com uma decoração, e aconchegante. Tem ar condicionado e um mini bar que estava incluído no preço todas as bebidas do mesmo. A zona do restaurante era muito bonita. A piscina? Muito boa. A água estava sempre morna. De 0 a 10, avalio o Novotel com um 9 e só não dou um 10 pelo tamanho da piscina. É um hotel muito bom e procurado por famílias com crianças, o que faz com que a piscina esteja sempre cheia. Quanto ao pequeno almoço também quero deixar um elogio, pois é bastante variado e nunca deixam acabar as coisas. Gostei muito

I spent 2 nights in a female dorm room. I believe there are mixed dorms and private rooms as well. I had a top bunk but I think you can request a bottom one when booking if you would prefer not to climb up. I had my own lamp and a plug for recharging my devices. The bed was really comfortable. There were 4 ensuites to service our dorm and I never had to wait. The communal area is just wonderful. Cozy lounge chairs as well as some bar stools by the windows were you can look over the river and towards Porto. Most nights of the week, they serve a hostel dinner for €10 which was great value for money. We sat at the large table in the common area and it was great to chat to the other guests. It is also very close to restaurants and bars if you prefer to go out. It is an easy walk over the bridge into Porto. The breakfast was simple but plenty of it and you could request pancakes or eggs for a small extra cost (€2 I think). I was leaving early my last morning before breakfast was served so requested a breakfast box to go, croissants and fruit.

Location is what I need away from the hotel in a busy city center. Room modern and confort. Staff helpful. Love the sauna and hamam. Breakfast many variety for bread and sweet pastry (I like to have boile egg in breakfast sometimes). I use Uber 6euros to city center. I do use my car to visit the seaside Afurada ,the Wine Valley Dauro etc. I wanted to highlight hotel should provide free bottle of water in the room upon arrival (is very common that traveler does not drink enough during moving).
