Riu Palace Las Americas - All Inclusive - Adults Only

Das Essen war nicht gut, tatsächlich wurde meiner Frau und mir am 2. Tag des Aufenthalts übel, und wir tranken weder Wein noch Alkohol. Der exzellente Personalservice, die Zimmer hatten einige Wartungsdetails. Auf einer Skala von 1 bis 10 würde ich ihm eine 8 geben.

Don’t want to leave this place. So many restaurants so many options. The outside pool is fab and the cocktails are delicious!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Riu Palace Las Americas. I liked the beach, sunshine, and warm water. The staff was very attentive. The hotel is a bit outdated, but kept clean and the suites are very spacious. The food was hit or miss. Some dishes, such as lobster and lamb chops, were delicious while baby ribs and corn in the steakhouse were inedible. I appreciated that the menu in the buffet, cafe, and in the restaurants had gluten free options clearly marked and listed. One of the highlights of this vacation were entertainment/exercise activities. I loved having dance and step classes with Miguel. He was engaging, attentive and motivating. Overall, my big compliments to the entertainment team and all staff members of the hotel.

The entrainment was ok but if you want to party you would need to take a shuttle to another Rui. It's very relaxing and chilled. Not a PARTY hotel that's for sure.

The food was sub-par and the options in the buffet dining room did not change from day to day. Also, we could not get Kahlua for our coffee at breakfast. The hotel is showing its age and was in poor repair. Our bathroom door was off it’s rail and wouldn’t close and the light wouldn’t stay on. We’ve stayed at Riu Palace Pacifico in Puerto Vallarta and was much more impressed.

I was very pleased with the property--this was our first time staying at a RIU Resort. People were very friendly, alot of activity, food was average, a couple of the restaurants were really good, i did not like the fact that in order to attend the big parties, you had to get on a bus to transport to another RIU property. Overall, very satisfied and would spend another vacation at a RIU property.

The rooms need some updating. Our AC unit would not cool below 21C and could not remove humidity. Thus, it was warm and stuffy in our room all week. I contacted staff twice about this, but they could not appear to fix this issue.

The staff at this resort are amazing. Very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are nice and clean. The resort itself and views are gorgeous. Beach is unreal. Such beautiful clear water and powder-like sand. Downfalls: our shower head was broken. The shampoo provided smelled terrible, bring your own. The beds were very old. The party pool is always packed and no one leaves it (we called it the pee pee pool). The worst part: the food. If you’re a foodie, you will hate this place. We went off the resort to eat because the food at all the restaurants is just bad. Biggest complaint overall.

The food was only so-so. While most of the staff were competent and friendly, there were a few who were downright rude. (Antonio who worked the front desk was one). The property was exceptionally clean.
