My husband and I decided to stay at the Hampton inn Amelia Suites Amelia Island last night. First the cost was 435 a night, which we thought was outrageous, but decided to treat ourselves. First the check in was not pleasant. The front desk attendant was not friendly at all. When we arrived there was a sign stating she would return in 15 minutes and was away. When she showed up we did not get a hello, not a welcome , nothing. I had to speak first and say hello and that we had a reservation. I gave her our information and she pulled it up and handed us our keys. Second we were awoken by a very loud train whistle between 530-600 am the next morning. Which continued about every hour. This was not mentioned to us at all upon making the reservation or at the check in by the hotel front desk attendant. Third, the next morning when we went to take a shower we turned the water on to the red area and there was no hot water. We let it run for about 5 minutes and still no hot water. We called the front desk and they sent up the maintenance man who told us that the shower dial was backwards and we needed to put it on cold for it to be hot. He said they did this during refurbishing the rooms as they didn’t want to redo the shower controls because they would have had to tear out the walls. We asked him if maybe they could put a sign up so people would know. He told us that would take too much to do professional signs. My husband told him an easy handwritten sign would suffice and he just looked at us and said he has told the front desk this information. Well, our check in clerk didn’t tell us anything. We are Hilton Honors members and I can say I have stayed in less expensive Hampton Inn’s and have much better stays. Just remember the more you pay doesn’t mean it will be a better stay.

This hotel we stayed at one night May 12, and breakfast was very limited for selection. several days later I checked my credit card and found a $30 charge. Upon calling the hotel, the desk clerk said it was for 2 missing hand towels. I asked to speak with the manager and was told that he had quit and when asked the reason it was said for people being charged for missing items, towels, etc. i was told to dispute this with my credit card, which i have promptly done. On Friday May 17, upon our return trip home I stopped at this hotel and asked to speak with manager. The two female employees said that there was no manager he had quit due to disputes over missing items. They also stated that 20 people had called to complain about being charged for missing towels or items from the room. The rooms are said to be cleaned by a husband-and-wife team who won't allow anyone else to help. Upon looking at the book, it was written several times where there were missing towels. The employees said the owner would not do anything to rectify this and we should file a dispute with our credit card company. Wyndam will be notified of this scam and travelers should avoid this hotel at all cost. Very poor was to run a business and treat people.

Ich wohne jetzt in Italien, wo sie die Covid WAY ernster nehmen (Impfstoffe/negative Covid Test UND Maske sind erforderlich, um dort zu bleiben) und jedes Hotel hat noch Hauspflege. Man kann nicht unbesorgt handeln, wenn es darum geht, Maske in öffentlichen Räumen zu verlangen und dann sagen, es ist zu gefährlich für die Haushalter, das Zimmer zu reinigen. Es war irritierend, nach ein paar Tagen zu ihnen zu gehen für saubere Handtücher. Jetzt fühlt es sich seltsam, ein Hotel so niedrig zu bewerten, weil ihr Internet, aber hier sind wir. Mein Mann und ich besuchten aus dem Ausland, was bedeutet, wenn wir nicht über Wifi verfügten, wir nicht über das Internet. Period.So am ersten Tag, an dem wir da waren, kam der Wi-Fi, der ein Passwort benötigt, nicht in unseren Optionen, also gingen wir gerade mit der Öffentlichkeit. Nach ein paar Tagen waren wir offensichtlich aus dem geschlossen. So gehen wir zum Personal. Sie waren NICHT hilfreich. Die Vordertafelperson sagte im Grunde, dass manchmal das WiFi nicht in den Zimmern funktioniert (Lachen!) und dass, wenn wir es nutzen wollten, wir in die Lobby kommen mussten. Echt?? Das machte mich so beunruhigt. Als mein Mann dahin drückte, wurde uns eine Kundendienstnummer für ein Zufallsunternehmen gegeben, das Wi-Fi für zahlreiche Hotels verwaltet. Die Leute auf dieser Linie verlangten, dass wir ihnen die IP-Adresse unserer Geräte geben, damit sie uns manuell die Erlaubnis zur Nutzung des öffentlichen WiFi zulassen konnten. Es war so verärgert, dass wir das WiFi in unseren Zimmern nicht benutzen konnten und dass wir zu That viel Problem gingen. Wir planen hier eine Woche später zu bleiben, aber ich stornierte und wir blieben anstatt im Holiday Inn Express. Sehr besseres Hotel.

Das WiFi hatte keine super Verbindung. Keine Klimaanlage im Sportraum. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel. Wir haben den Pool, den Sportraum geliebt, auch wenn es nur wenig Ausstattung und das Frühstück fehlt. Die 18-Stunden-Cookies waren super gut!

The price was right. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The desk overnight clerk was very accommodating and friendly. My only complaint was the continental breakfast was not edible. The yogurt date was not visible, the bread/muffins were stale. It was an all carb breakfast and not appetizing at all. Plenty of places close by to eat so that was a plus,

Michael am Front Desk des Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort ist so gut wie es. Diese besondere Reise war nicht für Arbeit, und während ich häufiger Besucher auf Jekyll Island, war es mein erstes Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Mit dem Hurrikan Milton kam, hatte ich einige Fragen, die mich Michael durchhelfen. Einer war nicht in der Lage, das Gast-Internet zu arbeiten. Nichts schien mir zugreifen zu können und ich hatte eine virtuelle Geschäftssitzung, die ich online zu bekommen brauchte. Er erkannte die Dringlichkeit und konnte es durch das Personal WiFi-Passwort, das mich gerettet hat, löschen. Später war ich besorgt über die Überschwemmungen und die Straße draußen ist viel niedriger als das Eigentum. Ich konnte den Diener nicht finden, so dass Michael die Situation übernahm und mich unter dem Überhang vorne parkte. Sein Engagement für die Kundenzufriedenheit ist ungleich.
