Albatros Apartments by Malibu

We came in on September and had a wonderful two weeks. Martin, the manager, is a lovely guy, very helpful and on hand instantly for any problems. Beautiful apartment, everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The armchairs on the balcony are a lovely surprise, we even fell asleep in them! you can't do that on those normal plastic excuses for a chair! the pool is lovely, perfect size, and the supermarket is right opposite the apartments, as are some fabulous restaurants. Maria on the corner... top notch proper Italian food, Sea Bleu, amazing menu, Steak21 for something extra special, you won't regret it, and a good Indian too. We loved it so much there, we've booked another two holidays for early 2025! Amazing place, you won't regret it.

Over the last couple of years of holidaying in Callao Salvaje, I saw this place being renovated and when I visited and stayed at another apartment complex in the village last November (‘23), I saw the finished Albatross apartments and thought, wow I must stay there next time. I didn’t know at that time how beautiful the apartments would be. I opened the door to the apartment and was completely overwhelmed by it. Absolutely beatifully finished. I had a large glass fronted balcony that overlooked the viewpoint area, where I had to drag myself away from each day at some point to go for a walk and feed myself. A perfect view. I ate breakfast on the balcony every morning in the cool and within a couple of hours the sun came round and I just soaked it in. The sunsets viewed from the balcony were stunning. The Apartment was furnished, with good quality furnishings and everything I needed in the kitchenette which was very well equipped. All the staff here were kind and friendly and very welcoming. Martin met me and greeted me on arrival, showed me to my apartment, explained everything. The apartment was kept immaculate, the cleaner was so friendly and efficient. I am a solo traveller and to feel safe, comfortable and not alone should I need help, is very important. I felt secure, comfortable and not alone the whole time. As promised Martin, I will return. Unfortunately I cannot at the moment return until next November - I think, but I can’t wait to stay at the Albatross Apartments again. I was very sad to leave, I had a perfect and wonderful stay.

5 Stars – A Fantastic Stay! We had a wonderful experience at Albatros Apartments by Malibu. The apartments were absolutely lovely – spotlessly clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed, right down to the little touches like washing-up liquid. The communal areas and pool were also impeccably maintained and very inviting. A special mention to Martin, who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. One example of the thoughtful service: after we did some washing, the cleaners noticed we had limited space to hang clothes and kindly left us an airer without us even asking – such a considerate gesture. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. A beautiful, relaxing spot with fantastic service. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing spacious and clean apartment. Pool was nice and clean always plenty of sunbeds free. Loads of restaurants in the area which food was amazing at and very cheap. 2 supermarkets close by and given discount card for one of them. We were allowed to stay in the room on day of checkout up until our transfer arrived and staff were all very helpful.

We are currently staying here, and it has been an amazing experience! The breathtaking sea view from our large balcony is absolutely stunning—it’s the perfect place to unwind, soak up the fresh ocean air, and take in the beauty of the surroundings. While there’s no air conditioning, the calling fan provides a nice breeze, keeping things comfortable. The reception is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. Conveniently located just across the road from Dino Express, the area offers plenty of dining options, with loads of lovely restaurants to choose from. Whether it’s a morning coffee on the balcony, an evening drink watching the waves, or exploring the local eateries, this place has been a fantastic getaway. Highly recommend for a peaceful and picturesque escape.

I’m not one for leaving reviews as a rule but felt the need to on this occasion. Like the previous reviews say this place is a hidden gem. We have just returned from a twelve night stay with our two children and we have had a fantastic time. The rooms are bright and spacious and have all the amenities needed for self catering. Hob, large fridge, coffee machine, toaster and kettle plus a nice big bathroom and a big balcony. We were given room 403 and the view was stunning. People would come to Callao Salvaje to see the sunset in the evening - we were fortunate enough to have this view every night from our balcony. Martin and the rest of the team, the cleaners were all super friendly and helpful. Pool area is spacious and there were always free sun beds. There are some fantastic little restaurants all within a two minute walk (Don Pepe and La Palma stood out for us) and not to miss out the 3 Horseshoes for a friendly beer, a game of pool and all the football games shown on numerous screens! Finally if you visit you need to get a kebab from over the road next to the 3 Horseshoes - stunning! We’d love to return again next year providing all these great reviews don’t push the price up too much!
