"Gutes Hotel, und der Service ist auch sehr gut. Das Seltsamste ist, dass es warmes Wasser gibt. Die Betten im Zimmer sind auch relativ groß. Im Vergleich zum Zustand dieses Bereichs ist es ein besserer Service für die Reisenden zu berücksichtigen! Es wird empfohlen, die Gäste zu kommen und zu reisen 👍"

Hotel Agua del Desierto

"Ein angenehmes Hotel, das eine Qualitätsluft projiziert, aber nicht ganz auf dieses Bild lebt. Zunächst einmal, keine unserer britischen Kreditkarten arbeitete an der Rezeption, weil sie einen der alten Kartenleser hatten, die den Chip und Pin nicht lesen werden. Die Kartenleser im Restaurant arbeiteten gut so lange, um die auf der Rezeption zu aktualisieren! Zimmer gut ausgerüstet, schöne Betten, Toiletten (nicht die können Sie nicht stehlen), und das Personal im Allgemeinen hilfreich und angenehm. Es gibt keine Loungebar, nur ein Restaurant mit Tische und Stühlen, also kein Ort zum Entspannen. Wir essen in dem Restaurant die erste Nacht, aber das Essen war nicht groß und das Personal ziemlich clueless. Es waren 8 von ihnen, die für eine große Party setzten, den Stuhl über den Boden schrauben, einen Tisch mit einem lauten Absturz überschneiden und im Allgemeinen viel Lärm für das, was eine einfache Aufgabe war, die möglicherweise diskreter und professioneller durchgeführt werden konnte. Mein Thun und Friese waren nur das - überkochte Thunfisch, schöne Handschneiden Friese - aber für ein Hotel, das anscheinend ein schönes Essen anbietet (siehe die Webseite Fotos), diese kleinen, unschädlichen Ketchup-Beutel schien eher aus dem Ort. Mein Zitronenschmack war kranklich süß und nicht sehr limoniert. Bleib hier, wenn du magst, aber eßt woanders."

"The location should be good, very close to the bus station, about ten minutes walk. There are large supermarkets and shopping malls downstairs. It is estimated to be the largest commercial cluster in the city. The room hygiene and various conditions are standard for an Ibis hotel. It's neither as bad nor as good as some reviews say. Very suitable as a transit hotel. Breakfast was pretty good too."

"Calama is apparently one of the driest places on earth ; it’s certainly very remote and logistics presumably present issues on a recurring basis. It’s only proper therefore to give its hospitality offering a wide berth. This hotel is somewhat dated, certainly ‘tired’. But it does offer a reasonable level of comfort - decent beds, plenty of hot water, air con and a basic swimming pool with sun lounging furniture. Forget in-room tea/coffee making facilities. AND…! Be prepared to bite your tongue when told that no milk is available across the entire hotel should you be attempting to make yourself a cuppa ‘downstairs’. Dinner sounded more hopeful on paper. Nothing earth shattering and certainly not an extensive menu, but the spaghetti bolognaise was able to trigger positive digestive anticipation !! The reality was an array of ‘sandwiches’ only, the common basis around which was a ginormous bap, with hidden amongst it, some onion & tomato and further in, a beef patty. A limply uninspiring salad sat alongside. You’re on steady ground if it’s an accompanying lager you’re looking for and the Chilean Red was good. But don’t even think about anything remotely resembling an Aperol Spritz. Breakfast however ‘surprised’ with an excellent scrambled egg. Service wise, the staff are at best, ‘hit & miss’. The welcome from the longer haired female receptionist at 12.00 was non-existent. She was functional and lacking in any enthusiasm. The later guy on reception was very helpful and was genuinely concerned about me considering a walk into the town ( to source some milk ⚡️😂 ) - ‘it’s not safe’. The waiting staff in the restaurant were inconsistent ; some trying their best, others utterly indifferent. So in summary and accepting language barriers ( my bad ! ), this place does a job, if it’s an ‘in transit’ stopover that you’re looking for."
