This resort has a lot of potential to be great. However what we experienced was mediocre in accommodation and service. Firstly the reception is closed the entire weekend. We arrived on the weekend and ”for pool towels contact reception” didn't quite work. The apartment was OK but the second bedroom was so small it only just fit two single beds (no room for luggage). The teenagers were glad it was just a short stay. The exhaust fan and hair dryer didn't work but the main bedroom was lovely. Gate access to the pool was nice. I think the main problem is each apartment is individually owned so it is a bit of a lottery the quality you get. One person was checking out early as their apartment was full of mould and flooding. Another commented on how gorgeous their apartment was. Inconsistent! The pools are surrounds are lovely. Cannot comment on the cafe as it was shut while we were there. Access to the beam scooters was great as it is perfect scooting distance to town/pier. I would stay again if I negotiate the right apartment. The grounds are picturesque.

Lassen Sie mich zunächst über die Vorteile sprechen: Es ist nah am Strand, nur wenige Gehminuten, man kann zu Fuß gehen, kein Strand und das Meerwasser ist trüb. Gehen Sie etwa eine halbe Stunde in die Innenstadt und es gibt Busse. Abgesehen von den Nachteilen: Das Hotel ist alt, das WLAN-Signal ist oft nicht verfügbar, das Zimmer ist vollgestopft, der Küchenarbeitstisch steht neben dem Bett und man muss beim Waschen sehr vorsichtig sein. Es gab auch eine markante Warnung – 1.000 Geldstrafen für das Auslösen eines Rauchalarms. Das Schwimmbad unten war völlig ungenutzt, darin schwammen Blätter und unbekannte Gegenstände. Das Frustrierendste ist, dass die Ameisen an der Wand nach einer Weile alle in der Teetasse sind. Nachts bin ich mir in den Hals gekrochen! Werde nicht mehr hingehen.

Einmal habe ich es gewohnt (es dauerte einen Tag oder so), ich mochte den Ort! Der Manager, Mike, war zurückgelegt, freundlich und immer sehr hilfreich. Wir kamen auf einem dunklen, regnigen Tag und Nacht (normal für die Zeit des Jahres in Cairns) und meine ersten Eindrücke der Unterkunft waren ein wenig glücklich: Breeze-Block Wände (Danklich malen weiß) , ****-beleuchtet, ein wenig Stachel-/Dampfaroma und Sofa mit schwarzen Band-Reparaturen. Für die meisten unserer Aufenthalte hatten wir jedoch sonnig (und meist trocken) Wetter und es fühlte sich viel besser in der Wohnung und die Briseblockwände schützten uns vor den meisten der Nachbarschaftslärm. Die Wohnung war sauber und gut ausgestattet. Der Koch arbeitete gut - wir hatten keine Angst, Spiele zu verwenden, um die Hobs zu erleuchten. Gut, sauberes WC / Duschezimmer. Die Dusche war leistungsfähig genug mit Wasser, die bei der gewählten Temperatur konsistent blieb. Sehr guter Wert.

Great food and friendly helpful staff. Although this building is quite old it has been reasonably well renovated and is very comfortable to stay at. I had to leave VERY early to catch a bus and was supplied with a box breakfast, most welcome at 5am. On my return from my trip to Karumba we found that my booking had been made incorrectly a week further ahead.on arrival at 7pm , very tired,I was very grateful that the duty manager was able to put me into a very nice room for the night, and I was able to have a delightful meal and catch up with the gorgeous Shoni who welcomed me back even though I looked and smelt like Robinson Caruso, would definitely go there again.

We stayed here for a total of 9 nights. Six nights then 3 nights, with a 9 day tour in between. We stayed in two different apartments. Both apartments were very clean and well maintained, each with different furnishings because of the different ownership, but each well furnished. Both had comfortable beds and all the necessary items for self-catering. The grounds and pool were well maintained, although we didn’t use the latter because of the cooler weather we experienced. The apartments are about 1.7 km from the Cairns Central shopping centre, which is walkable and about the same distance to the Esplanade shopping area. All are walkable, but having a car is an advantage. Secure covered parking is available with a coded gate. There is road noise, particularly at peak times, but it is not intrusive with the windows closed and is quiet at night. The occasional train and aeroplane is heard, but also are not intrusive. The Managers John and Noutekh were friendly and very helpful and accommodating, particularly with assistance during our break between the stays. Definitely value for money. It was a very pleasant place to stay.

I saw ‘Cairns City’ in the title & booked, but don’t be fooled like I was as the motel is up in Cairns North, a good 15 minute walk from the Cairns CBD & Esplanade area. The view from my apartment was the Cairns State High football field on Sheridan Street. That said, the motel was decent for the price charged ($180 a night in peak season) and the Wi-fi was strong which was important as I was working remotely for a full day from my room. It’s by no means a modern motel but the room size was adequate & had everything I needed for a short 2 night stay. The room was well prepped, with a fresh tropical coconut fragrance as you walk in. There is a bit of noise from the Main Street outside and you can hear other guests next door from time to time but overall nothing too distracting. There were cafes & shops nearby within walking distance including a bakery 5 minutes up the road which does espresso coffee. But it is not a city motel & without a car it’s a hike to get to the Cairns esplanade/lagoon area where tourists normally go. On the first night I walked into town & saw the laser light show installed for the Cairns Festival near the Pier Bar & had a massage treatment at Foot & Body in Orchid Plaza.

Waren 3 Nächte und auch nur zum Schlafen dort, daher vollkommen ausreichend. Zimmer war sehr groß, viel Platz, große Dusche und einen Balkon. Pool haben wir nicht benutzt. Personal sehr freundlich Zimmer könnte etwas sauberer sein. Es war jedoch klar, dass erst ab dem 2. Tag gereinigt wird. Bei uns lag das kleine tote Krabbelvieh immer noch am selben Ort neben dem Nachttisch, obwohl die Betten gemacht waren. Man hätte es also sehen müssen. Aber gut. Wie gesagt, uns hat es wegen den 3x Schalfen nicht gestört. Frühstück war auch in Ordnung, denke es findet jeder etwas. Toast, Brötchen, Joghurt, Obstsalat, Kaffee, Tee, Cornflakes, Säfte, Marmelade, Honig... usw. In die Stadt sind es ca 15 min Fußweg. Da direkt nebenan ein Krankenhaus ist, ist 2x der Helikopter gelandet aber ansonsten haben wir kaum Sirenen gehört. Würden wieder dort hin gehen. Achja und das balinesische Restaurant (morgens der Frühstücksraum) ist super lecker und immer voll gewesen, daher am besten vorher reservieren. Habe dazu eine extra Bewertung geschrieben

Es handelt sich um ein Hotel, das ich während einer Geschäftsreise für zwei zusätzliche Tage gebucht habe. Insgesamt ziemlich gut. Obwohl es nicht so gut ist wie ein Sternehotel, verfügt es über alle grundlegenden Einrichtungen, die vorhanden sein sollten. Die Matratze war etwas zu weich, es war ein Federkernbett. Aber für den Preis ist es ein ziemlich gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Insgesamt sehr zufrieden.

Am Meer, vom Balkon sehen Sie das Meer. Es ist ein wenig von der Stadt Keynes entfernt, nicht sauber und sehr bequem. Sauberer Gesundheitsdienst ist auch sehr gut. Das Hotel hat seinen eigenen Pool, weil es länger ist, in Keynes zu leben, so dass mehr Zeit im Hotel Pool schwimmen ist, wählen Sie einen Ort, wo Sie ein bisschen Sonnenlicht durchschauen und das Buch sehen, und es ist ein sehr gutes Erlebnis.

We chose this hotel because it was one of the most inexpensive hotels near the reef terminal and close to other attractions in Cairns. It was a 30 minute walk to the Reef Terminal and 40 minutes to the Botanical Garden. It also has a good selection of restaurants nearby and is a short walk to Rusty's Market and quite a few shops. The area is very quiet and the bed was comfy enough. The room has a good wall unit which we stored all of our bags in and kept our stuff accessible with some shelves. There is a limited number of plug-ins in the room with two on the desk under the TV and a power bar was underneath the bed. A travel power adapter was used to keep our devices charged. The wifi was weak when we stayed and we felt the shower curtain and lip didn't do a great job keeping the water contained because the floor and bath mat got soaked each time we showered - you could aim the shower head at the wall and angle your body just so but it was tricky to have a good shower here. We did appreciate all the toiletries available in the wall mounted units including hand wash, shaving cream, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The towels were also very soft but never dried out so we had to ask to have them changed on our second day here because the bathroom smelled very damp due to the wetness. The front desk staff were very kind but they did not have it manned after hours so there are late night check in instructions provided. They also can help arrange and book tours while you are in Cairns. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast which included bread, a toaster, a pancake machine, cereals, juices, coffee, milk and water. The highlight of the breakfast was the pancake machine and the giant jar of Nutella with a pump attached. You could order a hot breakfast for a little bit more and it was fairly priced for things like sausage, bacon and eggs. The hotel also has a bar area (open 3-7), heat and eat meals, a vending machine, pool and laundry facilities. There is a microwave available in the bar area and kettles are available in the rooms for hot water. The laundry machines are commercial and quick - it cost 4 AUD to wash and the same price to dry and our laundry was done within 1 hour and 10 minutes. The laundry room also has an iron and ironing board. The hotel had a good amount of parking and it is about a 10 minute drive from the airport. We felt everything was very convenient during our stay and would recommend it if you are planning to save on a hotel and spend on excursions!
