Service war sehr einfach, direkt und unkompliziert. Sauberkeit war gut, Pool war top, nur die Ausstattung der Zimmer könnte man leicht verbessern. Durch Regale mehr Platz in der Kühlschrank Ecke schaffen. Aber sonst alles ziemlich perfekt. Bisschen weit ab vom Zentrum, aber okay.

Great value stay in prime location. Perfect location, easy to explore all near by attractions. Affordable price. Overall Experience was fantastic.

Nearby buses can direct access to the city center, which is very convenient, though their cleanliness needs improvement.

Decent hotel, a bit old already but well maintained, the pool is very nice

No sleep due to noisy road, dirty curtains, smell of smoke in bedroom. Never felt safe .Arrived late solo but had to use code to check in I got taxis back and forth to city and got very little sleep.Very limited facilities in room . Quilts very old and towels were hard

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff here and how well they treated me when I had a medical emergency and had to go to hospital. Our apartment was nice & clean. It was well priced and in a good location. Kitchen had a full size fridge and proper cooking amenities. A/C & ceiling fans throughout with a comfy bed. There is secure parking on-site with a nice pool & BBQ area. Big TV & we thank the previous guests who left their Netflix account for us to use! haha

Very shabby: many broken floor tiles in bathroom and main area, mean amenities, and the secure parking area was so difficult to manoevre in we decided to park in the street. A reasonable location but poor value for the money.

Once I got used to it (it took me a day or so), I liked the place! The manager, Mike, was laid-back, friendly and always very helpful. We arrived on a dark, rainy day and night (normal for the time of year in Cairns) and my first impressions of the accommodation were a bit gloomy: breeze-block walls (thankfully painted white), strip-lighting, a bit of a stale/damp aroma and sofa with black-tape repairs. However, for most of our stay we had sunny (and mostly dry) weather and it felt much better in the apartment and the breeze-block walls protected us from most of the neighbourhood noise. The apartment was clean and well-equipped. The cooker worked well - we didn't mind using matches to light the hobs. Good, clean toilet / shower room. The shower was powerful enough with water staying consistent at the chosen temperature. Very good value.

Its a budget place therefore don't expect 5 star. Management is very friendly. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 weeks. 1 adult and 3 children and for the price paid you cannot complain. Yes the place is in dying need of maintenance and renovation however it is clean. The location is on the main highway and noise can be an issue. I would stay again but do hope they do some much need work especially to the gutters and roof.

We are a older couple who stayed for a week and found the staff very friendly, apartment clean and serviced while we stayed. This is an older building and clearly has some reno issues but overall our stay was pleasant. If you are looking for a place without traffic noise and without a car this is not the place for you.

Don’t stay here if you want peace and quiet! This place is on the corner of the main highway and another busy street, which is frequently used for Ambulance transfers to the hospitals nearby! The Oasis is, also, in a direct flight path, on calm days, for planes landing at Cairns airport. Noise can also radiate, into the rooms, from groups of travelers and their children yelling from the pool and BBQ area, as was the case on a couple of evenings and into the nights, during our week’s stay! Although the above has been mentioned in this review, the noise didn’t bother hubby and I as much as the state of unit 17 did! If other 2-bedroom apartments, in the complex, are as run down, as this one, with disgustingly dirty curtains, uncomfortable beds, uncomfortable peeling away lounges, (they definitely need to be replaced), fold up cheap ‘Bunnings like’ metal chairs, for sitting at the dining table, and a gas stove that has to be lit with matches, then again, don’t choose the Oasis for your vacation, in Cairns. The room, which didn’t have a lot of natural light, needs renovation. The pool area could do with some upgrading, as well. The concrete throughout the pool area has many cracks in it and the coating on the pool steps is lifting! The Manager/Caretaker was friendly and very accommodating. We were originally allocated, through our booking, a 2nd floor 2-bedroom unit, to be accessed by stairs. At our request, in kindness to our knees, he offered us the ground floor, No 17, which had just come up for holiday rental. He did admit he wasn’t sure as to what state it had been left! Even so, it would have been expected that some inspection, on the vacated resident’s departure, would have been done before offering it to holiday renters! Smoking is allowed outside each unit. Sadly, the smoke, from smokers, can drift into other units, whose sliding front doors may be open for fresh air! As well as the above, the free Wi-Fi is useless! This is another negative for the Oasis, with dropouts all the time, and at other times no service at all! For a better and faster service, you need to HOTSPOT your phones! You certainly can’t rely on the Oasis for your free internet! When we came back to Cairns, to visit our family, located around the area, we will definitely choose elsewhere! Once bitten, twice shy!
