"Ein wunderschönes, kleines Hotel mitten im Regenwald (man hört und sieht Brüllaffen, Vögel und vieles mehr), und nur win paar Schritte von einen traumhaften Strand entfernt. Zum nächsten Dorf mit ein paar Restaurants kann man am naturbelassenen Strand entlang laufen. Traumhaft! Das Zimmer bzw Bungalow war sehr sauber und sehr gut eingerichtet und das Team um Sebastian und Javier sind sehr zuvorkommend. Jederzeit wieder!"

"Apart from its location, which is about a 45 minute walk from the central town, Playa Blanca and the National Park, this is a pleasant stop, with clean well appointed cabins in the Eco category of reducing one’s carbon footprint. This of course means no AC, and the room gets sweltering hot, but by early morning cools down appreciably. Beautiful garden surroundings belie the constant hum of traffic on the nearby highway. Great communication from the management, although please note, there is no reception desk. Quite expensive considering the distance from town."

"Wir haben uns in der Shamana Ecolodge einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt verbracht. Als wir ankamen, haben Stéphane und Anna uns mit großer freundlichkeit und großer Aufmerksamkeit begrüßt. Der Ort ist einfach magisch: nied in vollen Dschungel, in absolutem Ruhe, man fühlt sich sofort in Harmonie mit der Natur. Das Studio, in dem wir gebäudet haben, war ein echtes Cocon, günstig für Ruhe und Entkopplung. Das Frühstück, lecker und zu Hause, war ein wahrer Zeitpunkt für jeden Morgen. Wir haben den natürlichen Pool sehr geschätzt, eine schöne Überraschung im Herzen des Dschungels. Schließlich haben wir ausgezeichnete Ratschläge für die weitere Reise nach Costa Rica erhalten. Eine Adresse, die wir allen, die eine echte und ressourcenreiche Erfahrung suchen, die Augen geschlossen empfehlen."

"First and formeost, much love to Gaia, our host. She is one of those quiet professionals who gets things done and doesn't make a fuss. Yet everything falls into place with little overt effort. The facility is perfect, charming, rustic, and definitely built with the environment in mind. If you are in Cahuita for adventures, this spot will welcome you after a long day out with an inviting hammock on its generous patio. Plus our unit had a small, functional kitchen with a four burner propane stovetop and full-size (for Costa Rica) fridge. Beds were comfy, a/c cool, and the windows allowed for a breeze during the day. Shower big enough for a big dude, we enjoyed being indoors as much as out. If you pick this place, you'll likely want to come back. We sure will. Thanks to all the staff and their commitment to preserving their beautiful environment."
