Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

Waldorf never ceases to amaze us with their beautiful properties, but their staff made our trip memorable. Raquel Vazquez was our personal concierge, and she was in touch with me months before our arrival to ensure we had a perfect itinerary. I let her know we were coming to celebrate my partner’s birthday and mentioned he likes Formula 1. She arranged for W.A. to make cookies with his name and race cars decorated on them. Beyond thoughtful. Rachel was a text away and always available to answer any questions. Salvador and Victor at Don Manuel’s for breakfast are amazing. Salvador is personable and takes so much pride in his work. The small attention to details made us feel truly special. Salvador had desserts and sides made that weren’t readily available because he knew we were celebrating. Daniel Sanchez at the adults only pool provided remarkable service. He always ensured we had the chairs we wanted with unobstructed views of the ocean. He’d be attentive and also give his guests space. Seeing him was consistently a highlight to our mornings. El Farallon is a beautiful restaurant on the cliff. The sound of the waves crashing with a sunset in the background is picturesque. We went on a sunset cruise on their Dos Mares yacht. I recommend being on the bow of the boat even if you may get splashed a couple times. Great 2.5 hour experience. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel so welcome.

My husband and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary and we had the most Amazing time. From the moment we were picked up at the airport from the hotel private car service to Carlos Hernandez our butler for our entire stay, to Roberto the future chef and housekeeping who always payed close attention to every detail. The views were incredible. This was by far was one of the best hotels in Mexico. We did not want to leave the hotel because the amenities were so great!!! The daily guacamole and small coronas were just the right touch for mid-day!! Let’s not forget the surf and turf sushi rolls.. just wow!! I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay. I look forward to our next visit!! Thank you to all the wonderful and amazing staff!! The end to the trip with cookies and water for our ride to the airport with Cesar as our transport to the airport was the last special touch to our trip!!

We have stayed at many Waldorf Astoria properties and this was the very best. The property is beautifully maintained and filled with gorgeous views. We were upgraded to a truly incredible villa that exceeded all expectations. The private plunge pool, nightly delivery of chips/guac and Coronas were a great touch. But what really sets this experience apart is the service. This is true five-star treatment. The staff is not just responsive — they are proactively looking for ways to make your experience the best it can be. While many staff members contributed to our stay, it was Francisco the concierge who went above and beyond for us. From setting up our transportation to setting up our dinner reservations at Farallon and our Tequila tasting experience, he attended to every detail. He texted to check in on us throughout the trip and just took it over the top. This is a property that we hope to visit again and again. Thank you Francisco and team!

The service was impeccable. It was truly 5 star hospitality. Our butler, Carlos, was beyond attentive and so kind to our family. We have 6 kids and Carlos couldn’t fo more for each of our kids. We will miss our stay at the stunning Waldorf in Cabo, but plan to go back and of course, ask for Carlos!

This is the second time we’ve come to stay at this hotel. While I could say many good things, there is one significant issue that greatly bothers me, and that’s why I’m leaving this review. I find it hard to trust the truthfulness of what the hotel staff tells me. Here’s what I mean: We arrived as a family of five and requested a larger room so we could sleep comfortably. We were told there were no larger rooms available, even though the hotel’s website clearly showed that such rooms were available. The staff claimed it was a system error, but that simply doesn’t make sense. How could that be? After we pointed this out, the larger room mysteriously disappeared from the website—only to reappear a few hours later. When we questioned them again, they had no reasonable explanation. This left me with the strong impression that we were not told the truth, which is a very unpleasant feeling, especially when we are paying such a high price to stay here. Additionally, when we asked about adding an extra bed to our room, we were initially told it wasn’t possible. Later, they said it was possible—but only for an additional $200 per bed, per child (and I have three children!). In the end, my children had to sleep on the floor! This experience is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on how we were treated.

Our family enjoys 5-star hotels in Mexico. This was one of the better, if not best, resorts we have visited. The service was excellent! Our butler Eloy was attentive and helpful at all times. Salvador at Don Manuel's restaurant was friendly and welcoming and provided top notch service for breakfast. Our daughter turned 10 during the trip, and the staff took great measures to make it special and exciting for her. The pools and beach are beautiful and the rooms are clean and spacious. The dinners we had on-site were pricey for the quality, but it is easy to walk to the marina/town for other good options.
