Dieses familienbetriebene Hotel besticht durch seine Lage, von der Dachterrasse kann man im Liegestuhl die Burg anschauen, man kann aber auch zur anderen Seite ins Tal blicken und den geschwungenen Appeninbergketten mit dem Auge folgen. Wenige Treppenstufen aufwärts ist man beim ersten Burgmauerntor und danach auch tatsächlich in der ersten Burg. Gleichzeitig ist das Hotel sehr ruhig, der kleine Garten schafft eine gute Atmosphäre. Zu den diversen Restaurants und den zentralen Plätzen der Altstadt ist es zu Fuß auch nicht weit. Die Zimmer sind zwar recht klein, aber bestens ausgestattet. Das Mobiliar ist sehr edel und bestens verarbeitet. Die Schübe der Regale laufen wie geölt. Der Service der Besitzerfamilie ist außerordentlich freundlich und zugewandt. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl, auch das Frühstück bietet frisches Obst, Joghurt und genug Aufstrichvarianten. Mit anderen Worten: Ich hätte nichts Besseres vor Ort finden können - und das zu einem moderaten Preis.

We stayed here for one night in January 2023. We took a taxi from Rimini station at a cost of 55 euros (it took about 25-30 minutes). The hotel ordered us a taxi for the return trip, and that cost 60 euros. The hotel is quite quirky and unique with its ”design” characteristic. For example, the lift lighted up with different colours, while in the room itself the walls around the bathroom were glass with light curtains. I appreciate that some people like that type of thing, but it wasn't really my style. The hotel is located about 2 km from the historic centre. We walked to the historic centre, which took about half an hour and was uphill. Walking back down was a lot easier. If you plan to arrive by bus, it might be a bit of a challenge walking to the hotel if you're carrying suitcases. However, there were plenty of buses on the route from the hotel to the centre, and I'm sure you could order a taxi. There is a laundrette right beside the hotel and a take-away place a few metres away. The Walter e Lella restaurant/bar is about 200 metres away. In the evening, we ate a pizza there and had a drink. It appeared to be a popular place, so it might be worth booking in advance. Other than that, it appeared that there was not much else around the hotel. It is in a mostly suburban setting, which makes it ok if you have a car, but on foot it's not all that convenient. The room itself was clean, although the glass surround and light curtains around the bathroom just wasn't my thing. If you need to get up in the middle of the night and need to turn a light on, that could disturb other people. I know that it's meant to be stylistic and part of the quirky nature of the hotel, but it affected privacy. Our room faced the street and we had absolutely no problem with noise. There was a small safe in the room and a TV which was not all that big. The breakfast buffet was good. There were no hot dishes, but just the usual cold selection: bread, pastries, cereals, ham, cheese, fruit, juice, croissants etc. The good thing is that they have a proper coffee machine and they made me the best cappuccino that I've had so far in Italy! All the staff members in the hotel were polite and helpful.
