Finn McCools Giants Causeway Hostel

This is the worst place I have ever been to 3 of us arrived to a shared room that was not clean with lockers full of food and stuff from previous visitors . The bathroom/ shower room was disgusting and to be honest was a total disappointment. We could not stay and moved on to a better place down the coast. Beware of booking here they con you into booking non refundable and pay all up front so that they don't need to give you a refund when you arrive and realise it's a horrible house . I know it's a hostel but it ain't cheap and there are better cheaper options in bushmills and balintoy with clean rooms and en suite .DO NOT GO HERE IT IS JUST BAD.

The location of this hostel is the only thing to recommend it. The twin room we had was reasonable. Bathrooms were a disgrace, broken fitments, unclean looking(see photos) and in need of a total refit. We were not informed about the free breakfast although having looked at the state of the kitchen I'm not sure I would have taken up the offer. I have used many hostels over the years, independent and yha and all have been clean, tidy and well looked after.

It was ok cafe not great untidy food on tables and floor. Senery beautiful but I don't think they make the most of the attraction. Needs more thought going into it for visitors. It lacked imagination for children. Please get a better cafe with some nice food and better tables.

Great place, very clean and the breakfast was great!! The people there truly make it special… It’s the best place to stay in the area, free wifi aswell which is fast and consistent, though getting the password right is a bit strange as two networks have the same name.

We stayed for one night with two rooms. The rooms are small but very clean! Great breakfast was very generous and included in price. The owner was very kind. Room #2 had a hard time sleeping with the noise from the pub downstairs. Mattresses were also uncomfortable. I could feel the springs. Perfect central location for a night or two. Groceries, pharmacy and restaurants close by.

The room was clean but that’s about as far as it goes. No one seemed to be in charge and those on reception didn’t speak English. The toilets and shower rooms were falling apart and held together with tape. It felt like we were staying in a squat! Breakfast choice was very poor and not good value. I’ve stayed in many hostels and this was by far the worse.
