There is a combined living room and kitchen with two picture windows looking out on pond and a hallway leading to tiled bathroom and small bedroom with new California King size bed and 55” 4k HD tv. The small bedroom is built for sleeping. It has recessed lighting and sconces and no windows. It also has a small walk-in closet with a full length mirror.Guests have a private entrance and access to the entire space. The wall in the bedroom closet is shared with a small hair salon on E street.The host is available to answer questions by phone/text and lives in same city but not on site.Henderson Center is a family oriented shopping district in Eureka. It has a delightful mix of restaurants, retail, and service businesses - boasting over 100 businesses. It has a local farmer’s market every Thursday from June through October. Bike stores, pet stores, clothing stores, hardware stores and more.There is free available parking in front of the gate where you access the property. We also allow guests to park in a secure garage! It is easiest to get around on foot as you are literally next door to shops and restaurants. The zoo, beaches, and downtown are all a 5-10 minute drive away.The property is accessed through a gate in the alley off Grotto street between D and E streets. It is the only residential home on a street lined with businesses. Security camera outside entry gate in alley for guest safety while entering or parking cars outside. No cameras in yard or directed at home. The sleeping areas are located upstairs, with one sleeper sofa located off of the dining room on the first floor. Spacious and perfectly spread out for larger groups to unwind and enjoy their own private areas of the house. There is a an en-suite bathroom off of the primary suite as well as ample closet space. In addition, there is another large bathroom upstairs for the other rooms to use, and a large game room with queen beds meant to maximize occupancy for larger groups.The main house is located on a mostly paved surface, with an adjacent lot next-door that overlooks a redwood gulch area. There is ample parking, and a large outdoor patio just off of the kitchen and family room to make for the perfect flow for indoor/outdoor entertaining.The main floor also has a laundry room with washer and dryer setup, as well as a large dining area that can comfortable seat up to 10 people. A half bathroom is also available downstairs as well as a completely updated kitchen with everything you might need to cook a meal for your group.Guest accessGuests will have access to the entire home, excluding the garage where we keep our supplies, etc. There is ample parking in both the driveway and the street. The backyard is private, though, not fully fenced for those bringing furry friends.There is a 5 person hot tub on this property in perfect working order, if you are seeing this in the description, that means that the hot tub is still there, working, and being regularly maintained for your convenience.Other things to note*Cleaning fee is set to $145. Occasionally, there have been glitches in the past on the platform that set the price lower. Please note this and let me know if you see any discrepancies prior to booking.*$50 pet fee is applicable per pet. If we find signs of a pet that was not listed in the reservation, we will charge you after your stay.*pets cannot be left unattended. The courtyard is private but not fully enclosed, so please keep that in mind in regard to dogs and children. The driveway is for a hair salon and reserved for hair salon patrons.Kat is local and very responsive. But hosts do not live on site.Henderson Center is a popular mid town area with Eureka’s top restaurants, pet store, boutiques, Dave’s Place bar, and multiple Asian grocery stores. It is a family friendly area with Eureka’s top toy store - a tourist attraction. The area is five minutes from Sequoia Park Zoo, old town Eureka, and the local hospital.You can walk to everything you need from Henderson House. Street parking is available out front.Henderson House is the only residential home on this block. The front portion of the home is a hair salon. And there is a one bedroom unit located behind Henderson House. This block has a famous bakery, Chinese food restaurant, Mexican restaurant, Asian grocery store, laundromat, and multiple salons.*We allow dogs only. Sorry, no cats! Please keep your dogs off all the furniture, including off and out of the beds. We have provided a comfy dog bed.*Please no food or drinks in or on the beds.*Don't worry about stripping the beds. Housekeeping's got it.*Don't worry about taking out the garbage/recycling.
