A full apartment in a convenient neighborhood, offering unusual design elements designed to make your visit to Eugene memorable, magical, and meaningful. It's a complete apartment, with a Murphy bed, bathroom, kitchenette, sitting and study spaces.We love to design spaces that are not in a box. We want to give our guests an experience that is meaningful and memorable.Let's start with the turret. 14 feet tall in the center, the eight-sided cedar-lined space has windows all around and a large skylight in the center. This opens out to the upstairs deck to catch the summer breeze (or smell the flowers or help yourself to the fresh herbs). Beneath is a covered deck, where we have our "spare" kitchen and full-size fridge.From the turret, you pass through the triclinium, where the glass balusters give you unimpeded view of the trees and view to the south of the house. (We don't offer TV, but you won't miss it.)Then there's the kitchenette, which has a few surprises of its own. (Don't make us tell you in advance.) All the basics you need are here: oven, microwave, stovetop, sink. The kitchenette includes a dorm-sized refrigerator. We keep it outside on your deck, behind a sliding copper door. (We don't like listening to refrigerators cycle and hum, so that's why we keep them outside. Weird, right?)From there we move to the "bedroom" -- a full-size Murphy Bed that tucks into a windowed corner or folds up into a wall. That doubles as a partition from the rest of the space. At 480 sq. ft., this bungalow is centrally located in the very popular Friendly Neighborhood in SW Eugene very close to the University of Oregon & is ideal for 2 (tight fit, 3) people seeking an easeful, cozy & clean space to relax & enjoy in.The bungalow is 4 blocks away from a popular food cart pavilion with beer garden & live music, natural food market & coffee shop, a spa & massage center, chiropractor, natural pet store & many parks. It is close to University of Oregon (8-10 mins), Hayward Fields (8-10 mins), Autzen Stadium (10-15 mins), downtown (7 mins), fairgrounds, events center, stunning hikes & rivers, public pool & a variety of restaurants & stores to meet all needs. It is also close to a beautiful country drive to many Willamette Valley wineries. If you feel like cozying at home, you’ll enjoy the high speed internet & Smart TV where you can sign in to all your own favorite streaming networks, use the bungalow’s Roku & Peacock accounts & watch basic cable too.Begin your stay with a cup of the starter supply of coffee which I provide for your first morning. We are excited to host your stay in Eugene! This elegant home has 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. It is the perfect location for your time in Eugene, especially if you plan on attending any events located at the University of Oregon or Hayward Field. Matthew Knight Arena is an easy 1 mile walk. Jane Sanders Stadium, the U of O's newly renovated softball stadium is just a couple steps down the street, as well as quick access to the majority of the university's campus.This classic university home offers plenty of space to spread out between a large front yard, patio and courtyard out back, and 3 levels of living space inside. There are 3 bedrooms on the 2nd level and the studio apartment located on the basement level serves as the 4th bedroom with a twin trundle bed that converts to a king-size if needed! Inside you'll enjoy a formal living space and dining room as well as a sun room and a kids play area/nook. A breakfast nook sits just off of the kitchen in addition to a small office/pantry area. This home is conveniently located two blocks from the U of O on one of the most sought after streets in Eugene, in a beautifully kept neighborhood perfect for a leisurely walk any time of day. On your walk, you might see many of the great eateries nearby such as Studio One Cafe, McMenamins East 19th Street Cafe, Beppe & Gianni's (high-quality Italian), Hey Neighbor! Pizza House, and a local favorite, Prince Puckler's Ice Cream. Washburne City Park sits just 2 blocks east with expansive Hendricks Park just another 5-10 minute walk up the hill. Take a 5 minute bike ride to access the Ruth Bascom Bike Path that spans most of Eugene and Springfield, leading you along beautiful river views. Hop in the car for less than 5 minutes and you'll arrive at the family-friendly Amazon Pool complex and Amazon Creek walking path.Important Parking Note: We have a driveway with carport available with 1 parking space, although it can accommodate 2 smaller cars. It is a steeper driveway that slopes downward as you enter the carport. Vehicles that are closer to the ground may bottom out as you go up and over the sidewalk down into the parking space. (A Honda Fit was not able to enter.) With the carport, taller vehicles with cargo racks may not fit underneath the carport. (A 2020 Suburban with NO cargo racks was able to fit!)
