The Castle View Homestay

We stayed 3 nights at Castle View Homestay. Our room was not large but was clean and comfortable. Manu and his brother, Kushi run the Homestay with their family. The rooftop deck had an amazing view of Garh Palace and Taragarh Fort. We arrived by car at the Garh Palace parking lot. From there you have to walk up some streets to the Homestay. Kushi helped bring our bags. There are lots of stairs so it might not be good for someone with mobility issues or the very elderly. We had the most healthy breakfast there that we had in all of India. Manu’s parents do the cooking and the food was very good. We enjoyed our time at this Homestay and would recommend staying there.

Small guest house with only 4 rooms, so nice and quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well presented. The real selling point is the view from the roof terrace of the fort, beautiful both day and night. The food was home cooked and very tasty. The only negative was that the evening meal was a set meal (which we were happy with) but each dish was then charged individually, which made it expensive. It should either be a set meal at a fixed price or a menu with choices that are charged individually.

Lovely clean and friendly homestay with the best view and the best food. The location of this homestay is quite amazing. From the terrace you look up to the beautiful Bundi Palace. It's light up at night and we could see thousands of bats pouring out at dusk. The palace by the way is Incredible and hosts the most beautiful wall paintings. The food at the homestay was the best we had on our 3 week trip. We also had a cookery demonstration from the Mother of the family showing us how she made these dishes. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend a stay here

What a gem of a Homestay, it's name says it all. The view of the palace from the rooftop terrace is nothing short of spectacular, especially at night when it's lit up. Nanu, our host, is warm and friendly and a font of local knowledge, he was able to organise our guide and tuk-tuk. Our room was a delight, it was clean and fresh, with a view of the palace from the window and small balcony. Having breakfast and dinner on the terrace is unforgettable. The food is on another level with everything produced in house. If you are coming to Bundi, this is the only place to stay.

The castle view home stay was a real discovery. This gem is located right in front of the castle with an amazing view from the rooftop ! The owner was always present and ready for help and any request from us. The food was fantastic and our two young sons was supper happy!!!

What can I say, best place I stayed so far while traveling in India (6 weeks). If i could give 6 stars I would. LOCATION Best location in town, which adds lots of value to your stay. It's the only place with a nice direct view on the fort. That makes it an unique place for your breakfasts and dinners on the rooftop. SERVICE Very friendly owner and family. Mother is a great cook (home cooking), dad helps out and the son runs the place. He is very engaging, helpful and kind. They even cooked with me together. Just out of hospitality without any charge. Although I was traveling alone I felt really welcome. ROOMS Very clean, everything works, nice beds, airco, hot water. No comments about it. Even in the humidity it feels fresh.
