The hotel is well located within walking distance of the Old Town. There are many restaurants and bars along the way on the promenade. The other side is a street with some food stalls, lots of ice cream and shops. Note that if you need a toilet break along the way you will need to pay 1euro. Check in at reception was quick and someone helped take bags to the room. Reception were generally ok with Kazenegra (I think that is how to spell it) being the most helpful. However, sometimes you had to ask staff numerous time to get help. If something goes wrong in the room and you need the maintenance team, don’t expect a speedy response, if at all. They were a big let down to the hotel and annoying beyond belief by their lack of effort to actually fix the problems. I am sure the one chap was saying that I needed to go and buy some batteries from the market to fix the issue with the safe. I think not! The rooms were modern, beds were comfy with a good adjacent wash room, toilet and shower. There is a fridge in the room and modern TV. Not all rooms have balconies. The rooms were not regularly cleaned, only every few days. Towels were changed and would be on request too. The bed linen was not changed in the 10 days of the stay. However, the cleaners were friendly and helpful if you needed anything. The restaurant was usually busy, so best to get there early or late. If late the food could be cold and most of it gone. The restaurant staff were very efficient and helpful. Unfortunately all the meals on every day consisted of the same dishes, with no variety. Also, it is predominantly meat or fish. So, if you are a vegetarian you may well starve :-) - vegans definitely will. Some themed nights would be good. The show cooking is little more then watching them cook the same dishes. When asked for a custom made omelette I was pointed to pre-prepared ones (a flat egg), so this could be better. Half-board was reasonable but considering the limitations of the food, all inclusive seemed to be over-priced and would be disappointing. There are juices and coffee available for breakfast, but only water for dinner. So you either have to buy drinks or they will be in the AI package. Drinks have to come from a different bar too, but it appears to be waiter service. There are a few pools in the hotel. A smaller one (I think mainly for the AI guests) is near reception and gets busy. The two other ones are nearer the beach. These were relatively quiet and never any problems getting sun bed (less than a quarter being used). There is a bar there too, the bar man was very friendly and helpful. Prices in the hotel are quite high though. The hotel has a beach area but you have to pay 10 euros for two sunbeds per day. The gym is also extra (5 euros per person per day). There are a few shops in the complex. They also seem quite pricey as there are a few supermarkets just outside the hotel along the main road. They were reasonable with IDEA being the best value for money. The
