Good and clean hotel. Next time I will come back here.

We’re a couple in our late 50’s who had a 4 night stay here in October 2024. I’ve tried to write the facts so others can decide if they’re a good or bad thing. The positives; A fantastic sized room-we booked a superior double. Lovely comfortable bed & pillows. Nice size en suite & as others have mentioned not really any privacy, but after 27 years of marriage & 2 babies it doesn’t bother us! Nice sun deck/balcony outside our room with comfy seating. Breakfast was continental & enough to set us up for the day. Eggs cooked to order but everything else was the same every day. Very nice clean hotel with daily room servicing. A television in the room that shows Premier league, Champions League & Europa League matches which pleased us! Toiletries supplied & replenished daily (bit of a ‘man’ smell to them though.) Very helpful ladies working reception who spoke excellent English. Food in the restaurant was very good but I was a little disappointed it was an Italian restaurant & didn’t serve any local dishes. The not so good; Although our room was lovely it was far too hot! Day & night we had to leave the patio door open as there were no windows. One night our clock read 26 degrees at 3 am & upon returning from breakfast 29 degrees. It was explained to us that nothing could be done as the heating system was set for winter-so we melted when in the room! No kettle in the room, just a Nespresso coffee maker with 2 pods per day. As a tea drinker this could have been an issue if I hadn’t packed a travel kettle & a couple of mugs 😉 The hotel parking is actually only 2 spaces so you need to park on street at a cost of around £6 per day. The location is approximately a 20 minute walk from the old town & there isn’t an awful lot around really but we did find a nice Georgian restaurant nearby & there’s a small supermarket close by too. We didn’t try out the jacuzzi because we were too busy doing other things & we also spent a day at Therme where we experienced plenty of bubbles!

The hotel should be 3 stars and not 4. The parking actually has only 3 small places. The rest of the space is used as storage. Rooms are modestly furnished and not very clean. The air conditioning doesn’t work properly, it is very noisy and spits dust every now and then. There were dead flies on the window sill (a clear indication of how the rooms are being cleaned). The breakfast was very limited and held in the basement, where it was dusty and smelly. The lady cook didn’t speak any English and was very grumpy and rude. The vegetables looked dry… as if they have been left there for a few days. The restaurant at the hotel was also nothing special - too pricy, with disengaged staff, who barely spoke English. Receptionist was often outside smoking and was not bothered that there were people waiting at the reception.

We went for a 4 day stay. The hotel was wonderful. Clean, friendly, spacious and just 15 mins walk from the Old Town. Would definitely recommend staying there! They made our stay very special and the rooftop jacuzzi was lovely!

Easy check in. We booked a standard twin room which was very good for what we needed. The room was large with a fabulous bathroom, the shower was great , there was also a bidet. Toiletries are provided and replenished, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and shower cap. There were also bathrobes and slippers in the room. There is a mini bar and plenty of electrical sockets. We weren’t able to operate the safe but this didn’t spoil our stay. Breakfast was okay and you can get fruit, cereals, scrambled eggs etc, it is served in the basement. There was a fitness room which we didn’t use. On the fourth floor there is a rooftop sun terrace which contains a hot tub and sun loungers. The hotel is very clean and there are areas to charge your phone in reception. The hotel is about 15/20 minutes walk to the old town. You can also get a bolt which we found was affordable. We caught the 783 bus from the airport to the hotel for 52p!! They are very regular and it takes under an hour to get to the hotel. You can pay with contactless Mastercard or visa on the bus so no need to try and find out how to buy a ticket. A special thank you to Roberta at reception who was very helpful with a friendly attitude. The rest of the reception staff were not too friendly and some didn’t even smile to greet guests. Overall a great hotel.
