Riverview Getaways (only 13 miles to La Crosse WI or Iowa border)

Dawn was the best host. There was heavy rain and mild flooding in the area, and she checked in on us to warn us and make sure we didn’t have trouble arriving along the way, which we absolutely didn’t. The house sits on a beautiful bluff and overlooks the river. We had plenty of space to park our oversized boat and other vehicles. The house had everything we needed plus more. To the point we didn’t even unpack some of our common household things we generally take along (spices, salt/pepper, essentials). It is very well supplied. The only thing I would recommend bringing is a fan to circulate air in each of the bedrooms at night—it can get a little stuffy by 5am every morning. There is one large standing fan we used for the kitchen, and the house is air conditioned beautifully—but with 7 or more people and the humidity the week we stayed, air movement was nice. The kitchen dining room area is bigger than expected with PLENTY of room for our friends and family without feeling congested. We spent most of our time on the river boating and Lawrence Lake Marina (Friday night steak fry and live bands—can’t beat it!). That being said, I cannot say enough good things about this property, especially for the value point. They did a nice job flipping this house into the perfect getaway. I will recommend this to anyone, and We will be back again for sure!

The place is very spacious, with a beautiful view of the river. I appreciate how well stocked the kitchen was!

Dawn was very pleasant and greeted us upon arrival.Property was very clean, and quite convenient for day trips into La Crosse and other nearby places of interest.A very comfortable place to enjoy time with friends!We would definitely stay here again for a return visit!

The house was clean and enjoyable. The host was welcoming and communicative. We enjoyed the amenities including movies and games. There were loud trains that passed by several times at night, but the hosts can't control that. We've rarely seen ahouse so well-supplied in terms of kitchen items, towels, etc - much appreciated! Overall, the house was as advertised, and we enjoyed our stay.

There were six of us for a ladies weekend. The house had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. Sunrises over the river were amazing. Don’t miss the Time Out Tavern in La Crescent, Grandad Bluff and The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in La Crosse.

Nice cabin Overall, great stay. The noise from the early train and construction in the neighborhood were a bit of a bummer for sleep and sitting out on the deck.

Fishing week Had a fun week on the Mississippi River and it was good to come back to a nice place with hot showers and comfy beds to rest up for the next day of fun.

Mississippi River Fishing Great place!! Clean, Spacious, and clearly they know the needs of fishermen!! Great place!!
