Newbury Inn

I have stayed here about 3-5 days a week for the last few months, as a regular traveling business. I've stayed at quiet a few hotels/inn's but this one surpasses the average. Very friendly staff, and warm welcoming smiles. Very, very clean and reasonably priced! What really separates this place from the average is the staff; I had to spend Thanksgiving away from my family and they had a sign that said "We're not just a hotel, this is a family." and that's exactly how they made me feel. Thank you for your service, look forward to returning next week.

There is a shortage of good hotels in New Milford. Once a year our family groups need rooms for the Fourth of July. If one wants to drive from Danbury, there are many hotel choices, but that is at least a 30 minute drive to New Milford. The Rocky River is by far the best, but it was not available. We stayed at the Newbury Inn in Brookfield, where we stayed in past years. It has been renovated, but the rooms on the upper level with the required two beds, were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. However, the bathroom and vanity area was extremely tight for two people, but it was clean. We did not watch TV so I cannot comment. AC was fine. Walkway outside upstairs rooms needs renovation. We did not try the continental breakfast. This hotel is Ok for an in at midnight after an all day party, and early morning departure.

We thought place was like a B&B from website, boy were we fooled. The place is like a old Motel 6. Our first room had ants in bathroom,the heater had been left on in the bathroom so the room was like a sauna, so we asked for another and it had dead ants and flying insects, so we asked for our $ back which they did void the transaction, but the kid working the front desk was puzzled and said the rooms had been cleaned the day before and he looked surprised when we wanted a photo copy of the CC receipts. The place they said is under new ownership so they got some work to do in getting it up to snuff. Steer clear of here for now.

We got sick staying here, it should be condemned by the Health Dept. The room was FILTHY, the room stinks like something is decaying in it, the AC unit was so loud it sounded like a plane landing and it was filthy, the bedspread was filthy and stunk like it had never been washed, the shower didn't drain. NEVER stay here. If I could give it negative stars I would.

The hotel is very well-run and very comfortable in every way. This is our second time staying at this property. Steve the front desk manager was so very helpful before and during our stay. We first were coming in for the an event, then had to stay due to our power being out at home from a storm. Steve was so helpful and accommodating to us during this trying time. Lovely experience - would definitely visit again. This hotel has a great location, easy to reach, and great parking. Thank you Steve and Newbury Inn!!

This was a true dump in every way. The shower had mold in it. The front desk receptionist was extremely rude in that upon my husband and I arriving..she insisted upon our giving her our credit card. There was no professional greeting. We regret staying here. The breakfast consisted of stale bagels and watered down oj. ..shouldbe advertised as a snack..it was a trashy dump of a mmotel experience we will soon like to forget forever!!!!!!!!!
