So so so lovely! We recently stayed at The Cottage Lodge hotel for a night to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. The welcome we received was so friendly and warm, and having a parking space labelled with your name was a nice touch! The hotel itself is so cozy, lovely tray of complimentary tea and cake on area and a warm welcome from a very nice lady. The hotel location is perfect to explore the new forest, we bought along our bikes and cycles under 5 minutes until we were emerged in a huge amount of green space, donkeys and horses! Really nice local pubs a short walk / cycle away. The room was really clean, bed so comfy and the hotel quiet which enabled us a lie in, in the morning. Lush breakfast and coffee! 5 out of 5 for everything, thank you so much x

Had a wonderful two night stay at Cottage Lodge Hotel. A big plus was the reserved parking in front of the hotel which takes away any anxiety about being able to park, and knowing you still have your space after a day out. The bed was comfortable and the room had a very good shower and bath. Shampoo & conditioner and liquid soap included in easy to use containers. Internet connection was very good. Our room had an open wardrobe with enough space for a short stay. The room also had a safe at just above eye level and not tucked away at the bottom of a wardrobe like some. The room was spotless. Women might like it if there was an extra mirror by the desk. Even just a portable one. No scenic view but nice big windows and plenty of daylight. A fan and extra heater are in the room if needed. The fan was whisper quiet. Location was good being a short walk from the train station and with regular busses including an open top tour bus outside the hotel. A bike hire shop was close by. A few restaurants and pubs close by including White Plains a small independent restaurant within the hotel. There is no bar in the hotel, but does have a small seating area where you can buy a selection of bottled drinks from the honesty bar. You list what you have and this is added to your bill. Some canned spirits would be a nice addition. Breakfast had a good selection, although eggs were poached in vinegar which I don’t like. The cooked breakfast is quite small, but you have a good selection of pastries and fruit, which you order the night before. The famous hosts were not there but the welcoming and friendly manager made up for it. This is somewhere I will definitely stay again when visiting the New Forest.

Amazing hotel, a warm greeting by Jackie on arrival with tea and cake. We wanted two rooms next to each other. Everything was perfect. Both the breakfast and the restaurant offered high quality cuisine, nothing was too much trouble. It was enhanced by having a reserved parking space which took the stress out of the final part of our journey. Excellent accommodation and location , we will be back very soon Thank you so much for such a lovely stay.

From tea and cake on arrival, to brilliant breakfast, I just can't fault the Cottage Lodge Hotel. With a super cosy room, I had one of the best nights sleep in a very long time! I love that you need to book your slot for Breakfast - it means everythings cooked to order and the dining room isn't crowded. Lots of locally sourced and eco friendly herbal teas, plus soaps and shampoos from local forest based suppliers. Thank you to the staff for making my two night stay just perfect.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay in this charming hotel, celebrating my birthday and our anniversary. Everything was perfect, our car parking space and room were ready early, and we were offered coffee and cake on arrival, which was much appreciated. We stayed in Rufus Stone, a cosy room for 2; it was clean and extremely comfortable, and being situated around the back was also quiet and private. To mark the occasion, tasteful birthday bunting was hanging up, a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts, there was plenty of choice and the service was efficient and very friendly. We also made use of the honesty bar, another special touch. The Cottage Lodge Hotel is perfectly situated, there are shops/ cafes/ other eateries on the doorstep / just around the corner and 3 pubs within a 5 minute walk. We had good meals at The Snakecatcher and Albero Italian restaurant. Cycle hire can be found by the train station a 10 minute walk away and is thoroughly recommended. Access to the forest on foot or bike is also on the doorstep, just behind the back of the school which is nearby to the hotel. Thank you to Maurizio and his super staff for a memorable stay. Lovely, quaint hotel, so unlike the chains. From tea and cake on arrival, to the superb breakfasts, we enjoyed it all very much. Location ideal, plenty of places walking distance for food. A visit to nearby Beaulieu is a must do, and the people in the little village are welcoming and helpful.

A lovely friendly hotel, perfect location in the middle of Brockenhurst. Near the New Forest and the ponies. Great hosts and staff, looked after us really well. Lovely, clean room and great food. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. We would definitely go back again.

We based ourselves here for 3 nights during a visit from New Zealand, and loved every bit of it! We loved the friendly personal welcome, and our room was just fabulous! We loved the high level of detail - from the little pops of yellow colour, to the locally-sourced products. Breakfast was just excellent, and set us up for the days of exploring - the location was perfect for exploring the New Forest and surrounds. A really great place to stay and a highlight of our trip.
