"The hotel is in an excellent location, especially if arriving by bus as I did. Easy walking distance to harbour and the many great restaurants of Brixham. Breakfast was of very good quality, excellent ingredients and cooked to order. All the staff, reception and serving, were very friendly. The hotel bar is a nice space to finish off the day. Two minor niggles, which didn't impact me seriously. The shower in my room was rather idiosyncratic - took a long time for hot water to appear and I didn't find the controls very user friendly. Mine was a single room, but quite spacious and I feel it would have benefitted from the addition of a small armchair - there is certainly space for one. All in all, I was very happy with my stay and would certainly return."

"Das Beacon House B&B ist kein gewöhnliches B&B. Unsere Erwartungen wurden wirklich übertroffen, besser geht es womöglich nicht. Das gemütliche Zimmer mit einem Balkon mit einer direkten Aussicht über den Hafen und die Bucht von Brixham (wie auf dem Foto gezeigt). Ein eigener Parkplatz direkt am Haus, welches in dieser eng bebauten Gegend nicht selbstverständlich ist. Aber das Beste sind die Besitzer, Hervé und Nathalie, die jeden Morgen ein Meisterwerk an Frühstück boten. Mit Liebe aber auch mit tiefer Kenntnis der professionellen Küche auf hohem Niveau gemacht, z.B. perfekt pochierte Eggs Benedict mit einer selbst gefertigten, mit der Hand aufgeschlagenen Sauce Hollandaise. Jeden Morgen frische Zutaten, gute Auswahl, alles selbst zubereitet. Es ist wert, die Webseite des B&B aufzusuchen und über die interessante Geschichte der Betreiber nachzulesen."

"Erstaunlicher Ort zu bleiben. Schön, freundlich und willkommene Eigentümer. Nichts war zu viel Problem für sie. Zimmer sind zu einem sehr hohen Standard, geräumig und viele wenige Luxus wie Kleider, Seife, Shampoo, Slips, Kühlschrank, Flaschenwasser usw.. Das Frühstücksmenü hatte eine breite Auswahl an leckeren Dingen zu wählen. Eier wurden perfekt gekocht!! Liebe auch die Heißröhre! Hoch empfohlen."

"Stayed 2 nights as a family of 4 to visit the pirate festival and as a base it’s ideal for that. We ate breakfast and prepared picnic lunch but otherwise ate out as there are stunning fish and seafood restaurants as you’d expect in one of the West Country’s famous fishing ports. The apartment was clean and spacious with everything we needed other than certain toiletries like shampoo and conditioner, a hair dryer and obviously food and drink. The view however is incredible whatever the time or weather. There’s ample parking on site. We do intend to return for next year!"
