Das Hotel ist zwar zentral gelegen, jedoch stark in die Jahre (wohl eher Jahrzehnte) gekommen. Die gutgemachten Fotos täuschen hier. Beim Check-in wurde uns vom unmotivierten Mitarbeiter mit leeren Augen der Zimmerschlüssel übergeben - leider der falsche, sodass wir uns zuerst zu unserer Verwirrung in einem ungeputzten Zimmer wiederfanden. Beim zweiten Anlauf hat es schliesslich geklappt. Die Junior Suite ist sehr grosszügig mit einer hohen Decke. Ebenfalls erhielten wir auf Wunsch auch eine ohne Teppichboden - in weiser Vorahnung. Leider ergibt sich bei diesem Hotel bei jeder Gelegenheit ein Bild der Nachlässigkeit, bei der es den Gast kurz erschaudern lässt: sei es die muffige Luft in der Empfangshalle, die schmuddeligen (Zimmer-) Schlüsselanhänger, die offensichtlich ungewaschenen Teetassen bzw. Wasserkocher auf den Zimmer, die oftmals nicht oder nur oberflächlich behobenen baulichen Mängel im ganzen Gebäude, der wohl seit einer gefühlten Ewigkeit verrutschte und abgelaufene Teppich auf der Treppe, das schäbig und lieblos anmutende Frühstücksbuffet oder der Fakt, dass wir bei unserer Ankunft - trotz gebuchtem Parkplatz - nicht einmal gefragt wurden, ob wir mit einem Auto angereist sind (was bei der Lage des Hotels in einer verkehrsberuhigten Zone wegen des eigentlichen Durchfahrverbots und des Parkierens wichtig ist). Bei diesem Gesamtbild beginnt man sich zwangsläufig auch andere Fragen zu stellen. Beispielsweise wie es um die Hygiene bestellt ist. Dies ist sehr schade, zumal das alte Grand Hotel durchaus Potential hätte, wenn man eine Generalüberholung initiieren und konsequent durchführen würde. Alle diese Einsdrücke standen (zum Glück) im krassen Kontrast zu dem, was wir in unseren zwei Wochen an verschieden Orten in Apulien erlebt hatten.

Struttura veramente datata. Premesso questo, servizi e gentilezza da 4 stelle nel pieno centro di Brindisi e, peraltro, con garage privato (10 euro al giorno) comodissimo. Ottima colazione.

I'm perhaps being a little mean in giving this place four and not five stars; in all but one aspect it was great. Firstly, the location couldn't be better, being just a few steps from the main thoroughfare and a short walk from the harbour along both of which we found a good selection of cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself is very modern, well decorated and spotlessly clean and our room was nicely furnished, well equipped and very comfortable. The air conditioning was a little tricky to adjust but we did sleep well and woke up refreshed on each of the two mornings we stayed, The reception staff were pleasant and welcoming and answered any queries we had with a smile. We stayed at the beginning of our holiday in Puglia before going back to the airport to collect our hire car and reception ordered us a taxi for that purpose. Brindisi, by the way, is an attractive port and well worth a day of anybody's time; we were glad to have stayed there for the two nights. The only disappointing aspect, particularly on the first of our two mornings, was the breakfast. We arrived towards the end of the breakfast period (but not immediately before it ended) to find the coffee pot empty, the cold milk for cereal almost empty and the hot food all but exhausted. I settled for a small portion of scrambled eggs and three paltry pieces of sausage - the lady after me didn't even get that! There was a good selection of other foods however, although no orange juice, just pineapple, peach and pear juice which seemed a little bizarre. Frankly, the staff that morning seemed uninterested - although they were polite, calling us Sir and Madam, I'd rather have had a smile and a full coffee pot without having to ask. When we did ask, they made us individual coffees which meant we had to go and look for them to ask again when we wanted a refill. Things were much better the next morning, although smiles and orange juice were still absent. It's a shame that the breakfast experience was so out of step with the rest of our stay because, overall, we liked the Hotel and will certainly consider it again if and when we return to Brindisi.

Das Hotel liegt in Brindisi, einige Minuten von der Innenstadt & ca 10 min von einem öffentlichen Parkplatz (gratis) entfernt. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein. Wir hatten einen kleinen Balkon. Das Wlan funktioniert ganz gut. Steckdosen sind verfügbar. Das Bad ist etwas klein. Vor allem die Dusche ist schmal. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank Es gibt einen TV aber ohne deutsche Programme, einen Schrank, einen Tisch mit Stuhl, leider keinen Safe. Im Bad gibts Ablagefläche. In der Dusche ein bisschen. Schampoo und Seife gibt es. Das Bett ist angenehm. Ein Föhn ist vorhanden. Heizungen und Klimaanlage sind vorhanden. Einen Aufzug gibt es nicht. Uns wurde vom Rezeptionist geholfen das Gepäck hinaufzutragen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und spricht gut deutsch. Das Frühstück ist klein. Es gibt einige Croissants, Gelee, Nutella, Säfte, Kaffee, Tee, Obst, Joghurt und Cornflakes sowie Kekse und Zwieback. Frische Brötchen wären toll gewesen.

Verbrachte die Nacht hier, bevor ich aus Brindisi fliege. 10 Fahren zum Flughafen. Alissia prüfte uns in und prüfte uns aus. Sie war sehr hilfreich und freundlich. Das Frühstück war großartig. Viele heiße und kalte Optionen. Liebte den frisch gebratenen Orangensaft. Zimmer waren ruhig, sauber und komfortabel. Website. sagt GRATIS Parkplatz, aber das ist auf der Straße, wenn Sie einen Spot finden können. Sie haben ein paar Spots für 10 Euro, die Sie buchen können. Easy walking.distance to many restaurants.Would stay here again.

Located on a main road, but a 20 minute walk from the center, Ibis offers clean, spacious rooms and well appointed bathrooms, at reasonable rates. Two things do much to recommend this place: first, the front desk is always staffed by knowledgeable, multilingual staff who are happy to help you make all sorts of arrangements. Second, the breakfast here is free and quite substantial, for a continental spread, with the lavish hours of 6:30 to 10. Check out is at the late hour of noon.
