Das Zimmer war, wie ich es aufgrund der Bewertungen und Fotos erwartet hatte, sehr veraltet, mit verblichenem Teppich usw., aber sauber und ein sehr großes Familienzimmer mit den beiden Einzelbetten für die Kinder, die eine sehr steile Holztreppe hinaufführten (so steil, dass mein Jüngster tatsächlich unten schlief und ich oben, weil ich Angst hatte, dass er, wenn er nachts aufwachte, um auf die Toilette zu gehen, die sich unten befand, die Treppe hinunterfallen könnte). Das Zimmer war sehr warm, daher waren offene Fenster ein Muss. Der Lärm von der Bar vor dem Zimmer hörte gegen 0:30 Uhr auf, und dann saßen junge Leute bis etwa 3 Uhr morgens schreiend und trinkend auf dem Platz vor dem Zimmer. Nicht so toll für ein Familienzimmer. Obwohl ich weiß, dass dies nicht die Schuld des Hotels war, war die Antwort, als ich dem Personal beim Auschecken davon erzählte, „ja, das ist immer so, schlimm, nicht wahr?“ Ich sagte, dass ich es nicht gebucht hätte, wenn ich gewusst hätte, dass das Familienzimmer auf einen lauten Platz hinausgeht, auf dem sich nachts die Leute versammelten, und dass sie den Leuten das wahrscheinlich sagen sollten, das Personal bedankte sich. Außerdem gibt es neben den beiden Kinderbetten im oberen Teil des Familienzimmers ein Fenster ohne Vorhang. Die Hauptfenster haben zwar gute Vorhänge, aber wenn Ihre Kinder vom Licht geweckt werden, dringt morgens viel Licht in das Zimmer. Schade, denn man hätte meinen können, das wäre für das Hotel eine einfache Lösung. Warum sie es nicht gemacht haben, weiß ich nicht. Schöne Stadt, das Hotel ist veraltet, aber schön, aber man kann an einem Freitagabend nach einem langen Reisetag aus Großbritannien mit Kindern einfach nicht viel schlafen.
