During the summer (and winter) there is also a 24/7 emergency hospital about 10 miles north of Breckenridge in Frisco. Visit the bar, coffee shop and restaurant at Gravity Haus just outside the lobby door or the Italian restaurant “Sauce on the Maggie” in the plaza. A great candy shop Rocket Fizz” and game arcade are also in the plaza. Just one block walk to the south end of Main street where you will find 7 plus blocks of historic buildings full of shops and restaurants. Free town shuttles will help you get around town and Summit County shuttles will take you to other area towns, outlet shops and other ski areas. It is not uncommon for Winnie the red fox to hop up onto the hot tub and peek into the windows in the morning, or to walk out of the house to a family of moose munching on the aspens. The nature nook off of the Great Room serves as an observation window to a quintessential Colorado wilderness scene. The basecamp backs up to the largest system of cross-country ski trails in the U.S, which means you can put your skis on just outside of the door and go for hours.
