Das Hotel liegt neben der Uni, es ist sehr praktisch zum Spielen, das Hotel liegt am Berg, vom Bahnhof zum Hotel, besser Taxi rufen!

Situado en el centro de Coimbra, cerca del rio y de todos los principales atractivos turísticos de la ciudad. Nos asignaron una habitación en la primera planta tenía terraza trasera. La habitación bien equipada, confortable ( por decir algo las almohadas son de viscolatex son muy duras, altas) . La televisión está oculta tras uno de los espejos de la habitación. Hay nevera y agua . La ducha y wc recrea la biblioteca Joanina muy original y confortable con mamparas de cristal. El desayuno es en la 5º planta, muy rico todo. Yo pondría más variedad de frutas frescas( había manzana piña y sandía). Puedes subir a cualquier hora y tomar café o infusiones , galletas y bizcocho cortesía del hotel. Nos guardaron el equipaje hasta la tarde sin coste.

A superb historic property under private management and ownership - actually, in the ownership of the same family for over 400 years alto’ now a member of the Small Luxury Hotels marketing system affiliated with Hilton. Das Immobilien in seinen angrenzenden Gärten ist ein Ziel in sich, zusammen mit dem nahe gelegenen (400m) Santa Clara Kloster. Sie können für einige Besucher ausreichen, aber es ist etwa 15 Minuten zu Fuß zum Zentrum von Coimbra und es ist das Hauptgeschichte. Arthur Wellesley - auch Viscount Wellington - war während seiner iberischen Kampagne ein Besucher, so dass Sie in gutem Unternehmen sind.  Die Mitarbeiter sind wunderschön und offensichtlich von dem Besitzer gewählt. Der Empfangsmitglied, als ich ankam (Abend des Sonntags, 16. Februar) war einfach das Beste, das ich je erlebt habe, einschließlich Singapur, Bangkok und Tokyo. Echt faszinierend zu reden über die Geschichte des Gebäudes und einige der vorherigen Gäste (berühmte, aber „verpasste“ Berühmtheiten, so dass kein Vertrauen verletzt wird).  Beste im Hauptgebäude zu bleiben, wenn möglich, wenn Geschichten der vorherigen Bewohner-Intrige. Obwohl der Spa ist beeindruckend – bis zu den besten thailändischen Standards - und ich denke, die angrenzenden Spa-Zimmer können gleich gut sein. Insgesamt ist ein absolutes Geschirr, das die Erwartungen weit übersteigt.

We stayed two nights in apartment 2.2 - one bedroom with a small office room which has a desk and single bed. Location was great, being right off the main pedestrian strip in the old town area, so very atmospheric and convenient for restaurants. Check-in is at Hotel Oslo, about 4min walk away so you will have to walk with your luggage for a few minutes, including up some stairs. The apartment building also does not have a lift, so you will need to be able to carry your luggage up stairs within the building. I don't think you would be able to call an Uber or taxi to the street in front of the building as it is very narrow so bear this in mind. Some other minor points I noticed about the apartment which you may find helpful: - It directly faces another building on a narrow street, so the apartment doesn't really get natural sunlight - There is a washer but no dryer - it took a whole day for our clothes to dry and the rack sat in the living room - The apartment fittings are starting to feel a bit worn down

We very much enjoyed our stay at Coimbra Monumentais.  The location is absolutely perfect being so close to the steps up to the University.  The facilities were fine.  My only suggestion for improvement is to automatically send the check in information rather than asking us to ask for it.  I missed that point in the reservation.  Most of our stays were with Air BnB and they automatically send the information a day or two in advance.  We came to the back door (the 7A address) and had an issue with getting in.  Once in, we were very well looked after.  Thanks so much to Mariannna!

Hotel Astoria offers a nostalgic step back into the early 1900s, boasting an unbeatable location with bus stops at the front door and easy walking distance to local shops, restaurants, and the world-famous University of Coimbra. Guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast and friendly service, and those staying in Room 407 will be treated to a truly fantastic view of the river. However, the vintage charm of Room 407 comes with significant physical drawbacks. The bathroom is exceptionally tight, resulting in several instances of bumping my head on a shelf while using the toilet, and the lack of a vent leads to uncomfortably high humidity. More concerning was a persistent, musty organic smell that the hotel attempted to mask with heavy scented deodorizers, which unfortunately triggered my asthma. Additionally, a safety hazard exists at the room’s entrance where an uneven floor height caused my husband to sprain his ankle. While the hotel is a gem for history lovers, I would not stay in Room 407 again unless these issues are remediated. For those exploring the area's architecture, the hotel is perfectly positioned to visit local landmarks featuring stunning blue tile work, including the nearby Igreja de Santa Cruz, the University’s Capela de São Miguel, the hilltop Igreja de Santo António dos Olivais, and the historic Sé Nova. Go for the location and the staff, but be mindful of the structural quirks of the older rooms.

Die Rezeption des Hotels war schlecht, es wurde keine Anstrengung unternommen, uns über die Einrichtungen des Hotels oder über die Lage der Einrichtungen zu informieren. Der Hafenwein bei der Rezeption war auf der Anzeige, aber es wurde nie an uns oder die anderen Gäste angeboten. Die Reinigungspersonal waren sehr freundlich, gratulieren. Die Heizungseinheit war außerhalb des Fensters des Zimmers und war überraschend laut. Das Schlimmste war ein männlicher Gast mit Sauna und Dampfraum während komplett *****! Schockierend mangelnde Hygiene!!!

Hotel com boa localização, parque de estacionamento grande . Vista do quarto sobre a cidade, funcionários atenciosos, café da manhã com bastante variedade . Quartos confortáveis , Uma experiência a repetir.

Little hotel by the road side. Parking is free but it’s opposite building. Can park the car in front of hotel to unload luggage first. Staff speaks English and friendly. Room has no free water and fridge. Bed is comfortable n firm enough. The location is close to some attractions. However the room facing road is very noisy even when staff told me is not. Motorcycle n people walking past rounding loudly can be heard even late at night. We had bad night sleep. A room facing inwards would be better!

A comunicação entre o alojamento e a plataforma de reservas é manifestamente fraca. Eu fiz uma reserva, recebi um comjunto de documentos (voucher, factura e confirmação de reserva e pagamento), no entanto, em nenhum desses documentos foi incluido o numero do quarto nem o codigo de acesso à chave. Entrei em contacto com a propriedade, informando que iria viajar de noite e chegar de madrugada. Comuniquei essa informação por escrito na reserva. A propriedade confirmou que não haveria problema, porque com o código poderia entrar quando quisesse. Os documentos que me enviaram apenas dispunha de um PIN de 4 digitos que eu acreditei ser o codigo de acesso à chave e ao quarto. Nao. O código não funciou, os telefones de serviço da propriedade nunca foram atendidos. Na cidade contactei outros hoteis que alegadameente estavam completos. Fiz mais de 20 chamadas para os numeros que me disponibilizaram. Conclusão: passei a noite na rua. Paguei e dormi no carro, ao frio e sem qualquer conforto. Apenas me devolveram a chamada já passava das 7 da manhã.
