The Travelodge Dundee Central Hotel is one of the newest hotels in Dundee, having opened in 2025. The hotel is only 900m from Dundee Station and 5km from Dundee Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. There's plenty to do nearby, with Dundee Al Maktoum Mosque, Dundee Waterfront Gardens and Victoria Park all within a short distance. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities.
"The Hotel was satisfactory accommodation, the bathroom was clean and tidy, room was very spacious and beds were large and made well. For the price the room was very satisfactory and the only few issues we had is the walls had been repainted a bit shoddy in places and there wasnt a hairdryer, although there was a fan which was a nice suprise."

The staff were nice and polite, although not always able to help.
For an entire evening, nobody answered calls to reception, which was a bit surprising. There were also no hotel slippers, and when we asked, no alternatives were offered.
That said, we did enjoy the food. Dinner at the hotel was very nice. At breakfast, items were not always refilled if you arrived later in the morning, but overall it wasn’t bad.
I would say it’s a nice hotel, and if I’m ever back in Dundee, I would stay there again. That said, there is definitely room for improvement.

GGastnutzerI know this is a budget hotel but there is a lot more effort needed. There should never be mould showing around bath seals etc. It’s an easy fix. General cleanliness poor. We had to clean areas ourselves even after being transferred to another room after complaining first room hadn’t been cleaned. The staff in general friendly and helpful. Bins outside hotel full to the brim. I have a feeling staff don’t really care to much about how hotel looks. Anyway did the job for a few nights stay. But if I had the choice I would pay extra for a better room elsewhere and hopefully cleaner.
