The weather was very cold when we arrived, and we were warmly welcomed with freshly baked hot sweet potatoes, which instantly made us feel at home. When check in the hotel kindly upgraded us to a river view room free of charge — a lovely and unexpected surprise. This hotel had the most comfortable bed of our entire 10-day journey; we slept incredibly well. We also really appreciated that all the towels were properly sanitized, which made us feel safe and well cared for. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the service and hospitality, and would highly recommend this hotel.

It’s generally ok, feels like a clean and simple hotel with some flies in the room but that’s generally fine. What stands out is the service, they’re pretty helpful and they have free dinner and breakfast although again it’s pretty simple so don’t expect anything too fancy. But what’s the best about this place is that right across it there’s this lovely riverside path to walk along and see the bridge and mountains in the distance. It’s also walking distance (about 15 mins) away from 徽州古城 so that’s great and you’ll get to see the local shops and streets as you stroll from the hotel and then across the bridge to the old town. Highly recommended for solo travellers on a budget!

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Hotel. Unser Zimmer hatte die wunderschönste Aussicht auf die Reisfelder. Das Zimmer war sauber und hell und hatte alles, was für einen ruhigen Aufenthalt benötigt. Vielleicht nicht alles, es schien die Wände und Türen zu dünn, so wenn die anderen Gäste laut sind, dann hören Sie alles. Aber alles ist wirklich schön und kreativ im Hotel. Der Besitzer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit auch. Sie haben ein Dachrestaurant, wo Sie Frühstück und andere Mahlzeiten haben oder nur mit Kaffee oder lokalem Tee gekühlt und genießen die frische Luft und die Aussicht. Das Frühstück ist typisch für Chinesisch, so erwarten Sie keine Croissants oder Sauces und Bohnen oder Getreide. Wir hatten auch Mittagessen und Abendessen, das Essen ist wirklich gut, sie kochen es wie sie für ihre Familie kochen. Ausgezeichnete Lage für Wandern und Wandern entlang der Reisfelder und Hügel und um das Dorf.

We spend two nights in this beautiful hotel. The staff does not speak english but uses translater apps to communicate and is very friendly. The grounds are very special and beautiful, with history but modern at the same time. Our room had a beautiful view to the garden in the back of the building, we could see the trees from our bed. The breakfast was buffet and very tasty, with a lot of variety. There are ebikes at the door, which is very covinient. We would get up early every morning and go to yuling to see the sunrise before having breakfast. We loved our time here and will miss it a lot.

WOW! What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. A true authentic experience combined with an amazing guide for cycling routes and hiking in the area. I will be returning many times in the future for more mountains to climb! I recommend this place to anyone who likes to ride and enjoy a peaceful local experience. It was the perfect weekend away for the busy city of Shanghai and I met fellow travelers that were all very friendly and we shared meals together.

I was a solo traveler returning from an onward journey, when I booked this property. The hotel is impressive for the balance of price, location and service. The room was impeccably clean and reception staff was very polite. Parking may take a while to find around the hotel, but I never had to go too far. It is a busy area with many interesting restaurants around and the river a minute's walk from the hotel.
