I can’t recommend this homestay enough. From the moment we stepped into the compound, the warmth of the family was immediately felt. You’ll be welcomed by a lovely lady, her husband, and his brother, who treat you less like a guest and more like family.
Within minutes of arriving, they greeted us with snacks, a gift, and let us know they were already preparing a local dinner. We sat down with them that evening, sharing a spread of local dishes and drinks, it was a genuinely special night. I don’t speak a word of Chinese, and yet through Translate we had a wonderful time together. Before heading to bed, they asked what time we needed to leave in the morning so breakfast would be ready for us which was very nice!
Morning came with their dogs greeting us and a delicious homemade local breakfast waiting at the table.
As for the yurt itself, it’s beautiful and incredibly cozy inside, exactly what you’d hope for. There’s heating in there in case you get cold as well.
We stayed two nights, and on our second evening we had to turn in early for an early flight. The other guest, though, stayed up late singing and dancing with the family, which honestly made me wish we could have stayed longer.
I’d give this place a 20/10 if I could. I booked it thinking it was just somewhere interesting to sleep for the night. What I didn’t know was that it would end up being a highlight of my trip to China.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the elegance and warmth of the hotel. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and impeccable service, ensuring a smooth check-in process.
The room we stayed in was nothing short of luxurious. Spacious, impeccably clean, and tastefully decorated, it provided a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the high-quality linens made for a restful night’s sleep. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail in the room’s amenities, which included everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay, from a fully stocked minibar to a well-appointed bathroom with premium toiletries.
The hotel’s dining options were equally impressive. We dined at the hotel’s main restaurant, which offered a delectable selection of both local and international cuisine. TThngThis is a neat little hotel that’s walking distance to the nearest tourist attraction and a square that has all kinds of F&B, shops, KFC, and even a TCM! I find the 24hr laundry room very useful as I’ve been travelling for more than week now and has many dirty laundry to clean. They have excellent washer/ dryer and free detergent for their hotel patrons. Their staffs are very smiley and friendly, and even though the tea session wasn’t successful with the machine, I had fun talking to Ms Wang. This is so different from staying in a 5-star hotel, this is better. It’s homely and it’s friendly.

GGastnutzerEin Hotel, das auf Ctrip als Nummer 1 für Komfort bewertet wurde, war eine riesige Enttäuschung! Für etwas über 300 Yuan war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis miserabel! Erstens war der Eingangsbereich unordentlich, es gab nur wenige Parkplätze im Freien und noch weniger in der Tiefgarage. Zweitens war die Auswahl beim Frühstück begrenzt und fettig, und im Grunde jeden Tag dasselbe. Das Frühstück wurde im Untergeschoss in einem Gang serviert, der mit der Tiefgarage verbunden war. Mehrere angrenzende Räume wurden renoviert, was zu einer schmutzigen Atmosphäre führte. Jedes Mal, wenn ich frühstücken ging, reichte es nicht, meine Zimmerkarte vorzuzeigen; man bestand darauf, Frühstücksgutscheine zu benutzen, was streng kontrolliert wurde, aber ich musste sie jeden Tag an der Rezeption abholen. Es wurde mit Nachmittagstee und Kaffee geworben, aber ich habe nie eine Kaffeemaschine gesehen; sie hieß, sie sei in Reparatur! Schließlich war die Zimmerreinigung mangelhaft; im Waschbecken war deutlich Schmutz zu sehen. Als ich eine Mitarbeiterin bat, den Staub neben dem Bett zu wischen, fragte sie mich tatsächlich, ob ich das selbst machen wolle!
Positiv hervorzuheben ist der hervorragende Service von Zhao Yuanyuan an der Rezeption. Sie erfüllte meinen Wunsch nach einem Zimmer-Upgrade und informierte mich im Voraus über mögliche Gerüche im Zimmer. Der Nachtwächter war geduldig und hilfsbereit bei der Zimmerführung, und auch die Reinigungskraft beim Auschecken war sehr freundlich.
Die positive Bewertung gilt daher dem Hotelpersonal; das Hotel selbst ist nicht gut! Im Vergleich zum Atour Hotel, in dem ich die nächsten zwei Tage verbrachte, waren die Bedingungen völlig anders, und es kostete nur knapp 100 Yuan mehr!
