Ich bin in Costa Rica gekommen und hier habe ich meine ersten beiden Nächte verbracht, als ich eine umfangreiche Reise durch die Nationalparks vorbereitet habe. Dieses Hotel bietet ein schönes Zimmer. Das Gebäude ist in Form eines ”O”, mit den Pools und Essensbereichen im Zentrum. Es waren viele verschiedene Arten von Vögeln, der Verkehr laut war minimal in der Poolzone, und ich genossen entspannen in der Poolzone. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und für alle Gäste verfügbar. Es wurde in einem kleineren Bar/Essenbereich mit einer Übersicht über den Poolbereich gekauft. Ich bestellte Lachs, und es war überraschend gut! Das ist kein Zielhotel, aber es war genau das, was ich brauchte, da ich meine internationalen Beiträge. Es gibt ein Tour Desk, in dem man eine Vielzahl von Touren und Tagesreisen von San Jose oder Gebieten um Costa Rica planen kann.

Sie hatten bis zum letzten Besuch eine der besten Frühstücksbuffets in San Jose. Sie hatten nicht die Schweineverbindungen, die sie in der Vergangenheit hatten, sondern hatten vielmehr eine Art glorifizierten heißen Hunde, die schrecklich waren. Die geschroteten Eier waren laufend und wasserig, frisch war gut, aber Sie müssen warten. Kein Bacon und nur kalter Delhi-Stil-Ham. Sie scheinen auch ein ziemlich anständiges Bananenbrett zu verlassen. Das klingt vielleicht trivial, aber für uns war es sehr wichtig. Wir werden es noch einmal auf unsere nächste Reise nehmen, aber wenn die Situation die gleiche ist, werden wir ein anderes Hotel suchen. Die Zimmer waren immer ausreichend, aber das Frühstück war das, was es für uns gemacht hat.

Der 24/7-Shuttle vom Flughafen hat super geklappt. Für 3 Personen war das Zimmer mit 2 Queen-Size-Betten ausreichend groß, auch wenn wir mit den Koffern etwas kreativ sein mussten. Das Bad ist dafür schön groß und gut ausgestattet (und sauber!). Der Pool-Bereich ist gepflegt und mit ausreichend Sitzgelegenheiten ausgestattet. Beim Frühstück wird nach wie vor großen Wert auf Abstand und Hygiene gelegt (Einmalhandschuhe, einzeln verpacktes Besteck etc.), die Auswahl an warmen und kalten Alternativen ist ausreichend. Im Hotel kann von Dollar in Colon getauscht werden, Euro werden nicht angenommen. Die meisten Mietwagenfirmen (z.B.) Europcar liegen in derselben Straße. Wer spät landet und erst den Mietwagen holt, kann danach bei Deny's auf demselben Gelände noch gut essen gehen. Natürlich hört man bei einem Hotel direkt am Flughafen auch Flugzeuge starten und landen, egal wie gut die Fenster sind. Das sollte man im Hinterkopf haben.
