Hof Märkische Heide

My family consisting of myself,my wife, our daughter and our grandson and granddaughter prefer to stay in accommodations fit for family so we sought out this little known corner of Brandenburg. We booked a family room with eight bunk beds which was quite roomy and located on the second floor of the main building. There were not too many guests so the hotel was quite quiet. The room was spacious and included a large bathroom with shower so that all of us were quite comfortable. The room was very clean and the surrounding area of the village was quiet. The Hotel offers breakfast for a fee but for other meals we had a choice of two local options. The one we chose was located directly near the yacht club and had a very comprehensive menu that suited all of us. The Hotel reminds me of a convention centre and has enough amenities to be practical for that use or also to host a wedding. It looks like a former farm house with a spacious courtyard with ample parking for our very large van. Breakfast was complete even if the host tended to hover over us a bit much. As Brandenburg is close enough to Potsdam we really liked the proximity and certainly the quietness of the village and the nearby lake. A good choice for a family outing with lots of walking areas to explore.
