No longer a Premier Inn (been or being taken over by the Devonshire Group) but room layouts are still the same. Situated on the top of a hill about 15 minutes drive to Chatsworth House or 15 mins drive in the other direction into Chesterfield. There is plenty of parking at the hotel. Arriving in the middle of storm Darragh, I expected a disturbed night due to the weather. However once inside the converted farm building it was very quiet, lovely and warm, spotlessly clean and the beds super comfy all of which made for a good nights sleep. Hotel staff were professional, friendly and had great local knowledge. I would definitely stay here again. There is no restaurant but there is a Beefeater next door which we didn’t try but took the short drive to a Marks and Spencer on the outskirts of Chesterfield. In my opinion it could be a good choice for someone with mobility needs - disabled car parking bays begin about 3 metres from an automatic door leading into reception. There are plenty of ground floor rooms along a fairly wide corridor which is all on one level from the reception area.
