Recently stayed for one night. It was a lovely setting. Clear instructions on checking in, parking, local amenities. Room was clean nicely furnished. Breakfast was lovely. Really nice homely setting. Helpful information pack. Would recommend to anyone snd would happily stay again.

Excellent location and a nice clean room. Good facilities and a place to park your car! Lovely breakfast cooked by the very congenial host. On a quiet main road but not disturbed by traffic. Also in a bus route which can be very handy. Nice en-suite.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Old Store. The B and B is so well located for many local attractions and also a short drive to Chichester. Matt is a very knowledgeable host and can provide excellent recommendations of places to visit and dining in the area. He also has plenty of guidebooks and maps to borrow. The room was cosy and warm, and we especially enjoyed our home cooked breakfasts that set us up for a day of exploring in the Sussex countryside. Fortunately we didn't get to see a lot of Matt's recommendations so we have several good reasons to return in the future- Highly recommend.

Excellent, lovely B and B and will be returning again. The cooked breakfast was delicious and were made to feel very welcome by Matt. Thanks so much for your tip to walk along East beach and we popped into the lifeboat station for a free tour which was great.

Stayed in the single room as just needed a base for visiting family. Compact but had everything I needed. Lovely powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Slightly more road noise than I had anticipated or am used to (I'm used to pretty much none) but not a problem. Also personal preference would have seen a set of curtains or additional blind to the one sat inside the window to stop the 'edge light', but again, minor. Great breakfast choice. Would certainly stay again.

A very pleasant one night stay. The Old Store operates a self check-in which operates perfectly well, and there is a form to request what you require for breakfast and at what time. The property was spotless, and our room remarkably quiet considering the proximity of quite a busy road. Breakfast was more than adequate and kept us going for the remainder of the day. Parking is a little tight but fine if everyone parks sensibly. An excellent evening meal in the Anglesey Arms just 100 yards away, but do book a table - it was very busy even on a Monday … and take a torch or use your phone to illuminate your way as it’s pitch dark otherwise! I’m sure we will return as it’s a useful stopping off point for us. Thanks Matt and Amy.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Store. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Lovely cooked breakfast made from good quality ingredients. Warm and comfortable room. The Old Store has real charm and character. Ideally located near the Goodwood Estate and Chichester.

I am rating this as poor because a room for the night cost £300+ (which is I did not mid because it was for the Goodwood festival of speed so prices go up accordingly) and for that amount of money, I want a good breakfast. But no, the warmest thing we got was coffee and toast. The ‘cooked’ breakfast is not served on a Monday you see. Although we were never told this until we arrived. Indeed, we only found out when we read it in the bedroom. I have never had such an appalling breakfast. Cheap processed ham, and a block of cheese, cereals toast and a cold boiled egg. I felt thoroughly RIPPED OFF!!!

From the clear instructions and helpful information we received on arrival, to our departure, our stay at The Old Store Guest House made our weekend break a real pleasure. Our host, Matt juggled making a great choice of gorgeous breakfasts with providing answers to all our questions about the area. Our room was perfect for our needs, wonderfully comfortabe bed and immaculate shower room. We highly recommend this guest house and although we didn't met Matt's wife, Amy, the sense of a charming family atmosphere behind the scenes was most endearing!
