You would have to pay me too stay here it is the worst’s place I have have ever stayed the hall way are dirty it smells the walls a dirty as well the rooms smell of smoke the staff do not care the manager is no we’re too be found parties all night long no sleep no thanks.

there was no info to assist guests with orientation or meals. The unadvertised cost of parking and card surcharge were a big turnoff. TV not working very frustrating. Stale air in corridor most disconcerting.

The stay was quote good bit the aftercare has not been. I left my cellphone at the property and called them immediately once I realised, I was advised the phone had been found and if I arranged a prepaid envelope this would be returned to me. I purchased a prepaid international mail envelope from australia post and advised the property this would arrive addressed to myself and informed them of my home address to send me phone on. The delivery of the prepaid envelope has been declined and the envelope is now been returned to sender...it looks like I am now not getting my cellphone back but am also out of pocket for the prepaid envelope which I purchased. I have tried contacting the property numerous times with no joy

We had chosen to stay at this Accommodation overnight 07/07/24 as it was close to the venue in which our son was attending his year 12 school formal. And I regret our choice. The Apartment didn’t just look tired and dirty, it felt dank and it smelt of mould. The carpet was old and stained beyond salvation. There has definitely been an issue with the carpet in the dining area in particular. Not only did it smell rotten, it had been lifted from the flooring but no attempt had been made to refit it securely back into place. Instead you will find a gap with exposed nails sticking upwards. The walls were grimy and dusty and covered in multiple plaster patches. It looks like some half attempt at restoration was started but no one could be bothered to finish the job. Old and mouldy bathrooms, broken fittings, sticky floor tiles and kitchen surfaces….. the list could just go on. And when did a piece of folded up paper towel become a suitable replacement for a Chux cloth! I am perplexed as to how, in 2024, a property that carry’s the Oaks name can get away with renting out Apartments in this sort of condition. It’s like there is just no pride in the property. No care given! Based off the photos on the Oaks website, we thought we were reserving a basic but clean and fresh two bedroom Executive Apartment. But let’s call that false advertising as we got nothing of the sort. We paid $334 for the accommodation plus $29 for parking. We feel ripped off and we would never want to go back. And if this standard is considered ok by the Oaks brand, then we will be doing our best to avoid staying at any of their properties in the future.

I have travelled extensively all over the globe for many years. I have stayed in five-star luxury resorts and backpacker lodges in Asia. But there has been no more pleasant, relaxing stay than at the Oaks Brisbane Mews. Located across the road from the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, where I had come for medical treatment, I was booked for an extensive twelve-day stay in one of their delightful, comfortable two-bedroom units. From what I was getting, the pricing was exceptional, something. I would classify it in the four to five-star category. The manager, Rose, welcomed me as a returning friend and could not have been more helpful in getting me settled into my digs. Macca, the Facilities Manager, responded to all my queries and assisted me in settling in. They are a fantastic team. My room had everything I needed for a lengthy stay; all the facilities had a washing & drying machine—a fully equipped kitchen and high-speed internet. I could go on. If I ever decide to sell my home on Norfolk Island to move back to the mainland, I would start my accommodation search and hopefully finish at the Oak Mews. I strongly suggest anyone who has to go to Brisbane for any reason consider this fantastic place. It has won my heart.

Lovely stay, will be booking again in the near future and I can’t wait to stay again. Staff are super friendly and helpful, enjoyed my stay so much and the late check out was awesome. Next time I will be using the pool it looks amazing and refreshing.
