Come and enjoy old Avon Village on a quiet one way street. The Surfstead suite offers an eclectic blend of island history, craftsmanship and comfort in one of the oldest houses on Hatteras island. There is a private deck and entrance leading into a living and dining area equipped with a Roku tv. Prepare your meals in the fully stocked kitchenette. The bedroom has a queen size bed with another Roku tv, and a full bathroom with a tile shower. A private hot tub too! We look forward to sharing "This old house" with others! Built at the turn of the 20th century, the house has weathered many storms and with a lot of TLC she is ready to weather more. This unique space has all a traveling surfer or couple would need to enjoy all Avon has to offer. Centrally located, the beach is a 10 minute walk away as are numerous restaurants and epic sunset spots such as Avon Harbor. The suite is a completely private space, as is the outdoor shower and hot tub. Guests are free to enjoy the suite in its entirety including the private outdoor living space. We live in the upstairs space as a small family of 4. We do not party or stay up late but during the day you may hear our young daughter from time to time. We always try and be as respectful as possible! Always tranquil, there is no other neighborhood quite like Scarborough Town own Hatteras island. We have laundry facilities upstairs which we are happy to share with guests if they find themselves in need to freshen up their boardies after a few long, hot days on the beach. Grab a set of Waves on the boogie Boards or surf Boards, ride the bikes for ice cream or book an off shore fishing adventure. Home has 4 bedrooms 2.5 Baths. Great location 2 homes from the Ocean and 1/2 mile from the Food Loin, 1 mile from the 4xx4 beach access, 2.7 miles from the Canadian Hole and 7 miles from the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. So you will have all the best of Hatteras Island and Avon all within walking or a bike ride. We loaded the home with Beach Chairs, Beach Towels, Umbrella, Beach Cart, 3 Foam Surf Boards and 4 Boogie Boards, sand toys plus a cooler. We also put in an Xbox, smart TV's in every room, books and a ton of games for those times when you are not on the Beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with an ice maker, spices, olive oil, and basic cooking needs even a crockpot and air fryer for those that prefer a home cooked meal.
