We stay at this property whenever we are in Rockland visiting family, a typical stay for us is 3 nights, we have been doing this for 10 plus years. Sadly the last few times we have stayed we have been very disappointed with the property and no longer feel that we receive value for the price we pay. I do understand that Covid has caused businesses to struggle and that overall expenses may need to be reduced, however doing so at the expense of guest comfort is akin to shooting your self in the foot. Breakfast is included in the price but is so modest they would be better to just do away with it. Fruit offerings were a bowl of apples and two black bananas. All but one of the breakfast tables was dirty, the attendant was there but was not at all interested in clean up. A request for an extra towel was denied, there is a two towel maximum per room ( to be noted this hotel was barely 1/4 full so inventory should not have been an issue) , one bar of soap per room so it had to do double duty between the shower & sink, although this was an improvement from our previous stay in September when there was no soap at all. Operating the television requires some instruction, it’s a very complicated set up. The beds are awful, period. On a positive note, the room was clean, albeit very dated. Our next stay will likely be at a property in Orleans, unfortunately I only see this property declining to the point of closure.
