Hotels mit Pools in Boulogne-sur-Mer

We were a group of 6 cyclists on a tour of the area. The appartment for 6 was manageable for a couple of nights having one shower room and a separate toilet. Secure bike storage in the underground car park which was free of charge, just bring your own locks etc. No problem with noise and the breakfast ordered beforehand was substantial and set us up for a days cycling. The reception staff were informative and helpful and supplied the additional bedding required in good time. Great location for cyclists coming to Boulogne and good value too. Appartment was warm and windows needed to be open to cool down during the night, but pretty quiet in the area so not too much of a problem. Would definitely use again.

Wir haben in vielen IBIS-Budget-Hotels geblieben und obwohl sie grundsätzlich sind, haben wir sie immer für 1 oder 2 Nachtstops gefunden. Das ist weitgehend der schlimmste IBIS-Budget, in dem wir geblieben sind. Das Zimmer schmeckt - die Leute waren eindeutig im Zimmer rauchen und das Badezimmer war gierig und dampfig. Das machte es jeden Tag im Zimmer unbehaglich. Es gab Zigarettenverbrennungen in den Gräben und das Fenster wurde gebrochen. Das Hotel ist müde mit Kleidern auf den Teppichen. Es gibt Anzeichen überall im Hotel, dass es in den Zimmern nicht rauchen darf - das ist also eindeutig eine bekannte Frage, aber es scheint wenig Durchsetzung der Regeln. Der schlimmste Teil war jedoch die Haltung des Mitarbeiters, als wir ankamen. Sie war grausam und hilflos. Der Hotelpark war voll und sie war überhaupt nicht hilfreich bei der Suche nach einem anderen Park - derjenige, den das Hotel empfiehlt, hat eine Höhenbeschränkung, so dass wir es nicht nutzen konnten. Andere Mitarbeiter, mit denen wir nach diesem gesprochen haben, waren viel schöner, aber leider die Rezeption, die wir erhalten haben, hat unsere ganze Erfahrung gefärbt. Ich würde nicht empfehlen, dieses Hotel zu nutzen.

After our car broke down en route to the ferry, we checked in to 2 adjoining family rooms for the night. All the staff were absolutely fantastic - from the happy chap on Reception, to the brilliant bar team who kept us topped up with drinks and snacks while we re-booked ferries and trains. In the morning, the heavens opened and we were given two umbrellas to take with us as we made our way to the train station. Overall, we felt hugely welcomed and looked after by the team at the ibis, through what was a rather stressful event.

Wir waren für 5 Nächte im Ibis Styles Boulogne sur Mer Centre Cathedrale. Die Wahrnehmung über das Befinden in diesem Hause, hängt aus unserer Sicht wesentlich von den Witterungsbedingungen ab. Unser Zimmer lag direkt an einem lebhaft befahrenen Kreisverkehr, den man bei offenem Fenster sehr gut, mitunter auch störend, wahrnimmt. Da unser Zimmer nicht klimatisiert war- und das Wetter sehr warm, war an einen Schlaf mit geschlossenem Fenster aber nicht zu denken. Zudem ist das Zimmer sehr klein und nur karg möbliert. Gemütlichkeit und ein ”zu-Hause-Gefühl” kommt da nicht auf. Das TV bietet übrigens keine deutschen Programme an. WLAN funktionierte einwandfrei. Die Zimmer wurden ordentlich gereinigt, hier gab es keinen Anlass zur Klage, -lediglich, dass viele Hotelbewohner ihre Hunde auch zum Frühstück mitführten, ist sicher nicht Jedermanns Geschmack. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig, abwechslungsreich und schmackhaft. Hier waren wir sehr positiv überrascht, damit hatten wir nicht gerechnet. Die Lage des Hotels ist, je nach Vorhaben, mal günstig oder mal ungünstig! Bis zum Strand geht man gute 30 Minuten fast nur bergab, -man bedenke, dass man auf dem Heimweg auch wieder hier hinauf muss. Die sehr schöne Altstadt liegt quasi ”vor der Tür” und ist mit dem Überqueren der Straße bereits erreicht. Wir wollen natürlich fair sein und nicht vergessen, dass der Preis für dieses Haus durchaus noch als ”günstig” zu bezeichnen ist. Daran gemessen, ist das Gebotene in Summe in Ordnung. Wer Luxus oder hoteleigene Angebote sucht, muss sicher etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen. Fazit: Wir kommen wieder!

Front desk staff, Tiddy, waited me one hour after the usual closing time. He speaks fluent English and is very friendly. The parking is a little tricky. If you’re lucky, you can park your car free of charge after certain hour until 8:30 next morning on the street in front of the hotel. After 8:30, paying for two more hours at the machine, you can park till 10:30. I like the device which blows out hot air in the bathroom. Other amenities are very basic. Minimal in my opinion. I gave a 5/5 considering the price and the service I received.
