Courtyard Boise Downtown

Sean at the front desk really is one of the friendliest, most service-oriented folks I've encountered in a long time. This location is great, walkable to good tacos (recommended by Sean, thank you Sean). Clean room, nice lobby. I'd return on a trip to Boise.

During my recent visit to the Downtown Boise Courtyard as a guest of friends staying at the hotel, I had a mixed experience that left me with conflicting feelings. The occasion was the Wazu vs Boise State football game, and while I was looking forward to a pleasant evening with friends, the encounter with a bartender named Izzy dampened the overall experience. Izzy's rude behavior and lack of attentiveness, as she appeared more engrossed in her phone than in serving customers, was disappointing. Despite this, I still left a good tip out of courtesy. I must acknowledge the efforts of another staff member who worked diligently to compensate for Izzy's shortcomings, which was appreciated. As someone who frequently travels for work and often chooses Marriott properties, this experience has given me pause. It is essential for establishments to maintain high standards of customer service, and unfortunately, this was not fully met during my visit. While the efforts of the other staff member were noted, the negative impact of Izzy's behavior cannot be overlooked. I hope that the management takes steps to address such issues to ensure a consistently positive experience for all guests. As a guest of freinds who were staying at the Downtown Boise Courtyard, I can only rate my visit with 3 stars, with the expectation that improvements will be made to prevent similar incidents in the future.

I had a terrible experience with the bartender at this hotel. Not only was she incompetent at making drinks, but she was also incredibly rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, she spent the entire night on her phone and even had her boyfriend show up and distract her further. It's clear she is not fit for her job and I will not be returning to this establishment. Terrible service overall. The bartender was a short blonde with grey eyes and had a tattoo of a third eye and flowers on her forearm.

Sean and Autumn were exceptionally welcoming! Truly made us feel at home! The greatest example of going above and beyond their duties. Sean escorted me to my room and assisted my husband in parking a large truck. And Autumn was a great hostess in the bistro. My husband raved over her grilled cheese sandwich. Thank you! If we’re ever in the area, we will stay again.

No Continental breakfast, Sink counter corners had hair clippings, Noisy fan in bathroom, Nice staff, Clean Beds, Coffee $3 a cup. Screen door on small balcony was off the track, I kindly fixed. Found a cigarette butt on the balcony and threw that away. Normally I don’t leave a review but I feel that a Marriott can do better.

Nice place and as expected for Marriott venue. Staff pleasant and with fast food and groceries in the parking lot and across the street this is a great location! Parking lot can be confusing with no entrance on gate the GPS will route you too, that could be adjusted to be an entrance. Thank you for a great stay!
