Albergo Milano 1920

I don't understand the good ratings for this hotel. Paying 97€ per night and having a 2sqm bathroom and still the washbasin in the room is a scam. No wonder the owner never posted any pictures of this old fashioned bathroom on websites, just the view or the bedroom. There was mold all around the shower seal. It's disgusting! Charging such a high price per night, this hotel could hire some plumber to change them once or twice a year. Moreover, the traffic in front of the hotel is constant and the soundproofing from the windows is far from sufficient. I had the feeling of being scammed because of the popularity of Como, hotel owners are just greedy and don't care about tourist satisfaction.

Maria Teresa and Annalisa were the best hosts one could ask for. The only problem that I have is that I can’t rate it 6 stars. Ideal location, delicious food and impeccable service. The view from our balcony was next level and is well connected to como and bellagio. Can’t wait to go back !

we chose the hotel for a 1 night stay on our way back to Munich, and because it was in walking distance to the restaurant we wanted to go to in the evening. based on the many great reviews we chose to book, though we were also a bit unsure about the location close to the street. At first sight we were unsure whether we had made the right choice as the house looks a bit worn down, and when you step in the look is somewhere between very worn down yet very charming. The whole place seems to be stuck in a timewarp in terms of architecture and furniture - however, it is charming and very clean. Particularly enjoyable were the very comfortable beds, great mattress, comfy duvet and wonderful fresh bedlinen. The street literally runs along the house and under the balcony, but the views of the lake are incredible and thanks to the soundproof new windows you barely hear the traffic at night. Breakfast was fine, with of course fantastic Italian coffee ;-) We would definitely book again for a short stay over, a gem for a budget, thank you to the hostess.

We reden Blevio binnen en wilden als eerste de auto parkeren in de buurt van het hotel. Dat kan op een openbare en gratis parkeerplaats op 30 mtr van het hotel, perfect, want scheelt een hoop trappen lopen met een koffer. Als je met je schouder vlak langs de gevels van de huizen over de weg naar het hotel loopt (geen stoepen en afhankelijk v/h tijdstip best veel auto's) en je gaat het hotel binnen is het in eerste instantie even schrikken waar je terecht bent gekomen. Alsof het per direct gerenoveerd moet worden - maar na een paar seconden ervaar je dat totaal anders - het heeft een ziel en dat voel je. Alles klopt en je proeft de historie. Van de ontvangstruimte annex bar + aparte ontbijtruimte tot aan de 3e verdieping (via heerlijk luie trappen) waar wij sliepen op een hoekkamer met geweldig uitzicht naar 2 kanten van het meer, fantastisch. Er zijn gasten die klagen over een wastafel op de kamer en een te kleine doucheruimte met toilet: die begrijpen dit soort verblijven niet en moeten ook zeker wegblijven. Het uitzicht op het meer van het toilet is werkelijk uniek. De service van de eigenaren voor een bezorgmaaltijd was voor ons perfect en ook het ontbijt was heel verzorgd. Een absolute aanrader. Een wandeling langs het meer (flink wat trappen of de geasfalteerde weg naar het voetbalveld of kerkhof) is ook fijn.
