I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in Birmingham, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. This hotel is a true gem in the heart of the city, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for anyone visiting Birmingham. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the front desk team went out of their way to make me feel at home. I was thrilled to be upgraded to a deluxe room with a stunning view of Birmingham’s skyline, which added a special touch to my stay. The room itself was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable – I slept like a dream every night! I loved the little touches, like the Nespresso machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and the sleek bathroom with a powerful rain shower and luxurious toiletries. Everything felt well thought-out, making my stay both relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch. The on-site restaurant was a highlight, offering a fantastic breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options, from fresh pastries and fruit to full English breakfast items. I also enjoyed a delicious dinner there one evening – the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service was impeccable. The bar area was a great spot to unwind with a cocktail after a day of exploring the city. The location of the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham is unbeatable, especially if you want to be in the heart of the action. It’s just a short walk from major attractions like the Bullring Shopping Centre, Birmingham New Street Station, and the vibrant Brindleyplace area, making it perfect for both leisure and business travelers. I also appreciated how easy it was to get around the city, with excellent transport links nearby. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the exceptional service. Every staff member I encountered was professional, friendly, and genuinely eager to help. When I needed recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, the concierge provided brilliant suggestions. Stayed here with my two daughters We was on the 16th floor great views of the Christmas market. Breakfast was delicious too!

Nice hotel, with superb location. Was lucky to be upgraded to superior King room. Breakfast was nice.

Excellent rooms, helpful staff and overall very pleasant experience

Pros: The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the room was generally nice and comfortable. Cons: The windows in the room could not be opened. One of the beds seemed to be missing a layer of sheets compared to the other, which was odd and slightly uncomfortable. The mini-fridge was not cold enough, which made it difficult to keep drinks and snacks fresh. Additionally, the air conditioning would shut off by itself periodically, which was inconvenient and affected the overall comfort. Overall, while there were some positives, there are several areas that need improvement to enhance the guest experience.

We'd booked a room with two double beds. I checked in first while I was waiting for my husband to finish his boys night out on Broad Street. The security were really tight on the door which I appreciated because I was by myself on arrival. Whilst checking in, I told the receptionist the my husband would be joining me after 2pm and may be a little out of sorts. They took both our details and I went to sleep. Roll on 4pm, I get a call from my husband saying that they wouldn't let him in, so I called reception and this issue was solved straight away. The room was perfect, corridors quiet, clean room, all the amenities, wardrobe, fridge and kettle. Breakfast was great! I'm a porridge, fruit and toast person although my husband tucked into a fry up. They do have a make to order omelette station too . I will definitely be booking here again because all our friends live in Brum and the staff, room and location of the hotel is perfect if you're on foot.

Not very happy I had my 2 year old the heating wasn’t working it was cold I call the reception 2 times as well I’m not happy and very disappointed never again

In my opinion an all around excellent hotel we’ve stayed at many leonardo hotels around the world, this one is so nice from outside the looks pretty average, but you step in and it looks like you’ve entered a 5 star hotel really nice staff, free water and fruit at reception fridges in room also get water bottles, coffee machine and nerspresso pods can’t complain, very very clean, and they have one of the best hotel gyms I have ever seen, like honestly it’s unreal the atmosphere machines everything. But the only down side I had and this is my second time the first time was 10:10 no complaints this time all day and all night even at like 1 2 3 4am all I could hear was the noisy as hell trolleys in the hallways that the stuff I assume push drinks and food to rooms they’re so loud I thought it was like wind blasting past the windows but nope it’s trolleys up and down the corridors a all day all night so no peaceful sleep this second time around.
