Courtyard Birmingham Trussville

I’m currently Staying at the courtyard marriott & i can say i’ve had a 10 out of 10 experience. House keeping is extraordinary & has been keeping up my room daily. i’ve had a few packages delivered & dalvonta from the front desk was a big help in tracking down & delivering my packages for me. Clean hotel, no complaints & i would recommend anyone here for work or business or even a family trip to stay here.

Cleane , good size room, quiet neighborhood, friendly staff. One minor inconvenience, the work desk inside the room does not have any receptacles for plugging in your devices nor does it have overhead or on dear lamp. Breakfast services is good but the food itself not to standards of the other courtyards.

Clean, Friendly & COMFY are the three words I would use to describe the Courtyard by Marriott in Trussville. This is the third year in a row that we have stayed here in March and we have always had the same experience. The rooms are clean, the hotel is quiet even when full, the service is super friendly, and we always have a good stay. I have never had a single issue with the hotel, thank you to the staff for all you do! (PS: Location is really good as well - across from nice Target and plenty of restaurants.)

Modern & recently renovated. Very clean. Beds comfortable. Wifi very fast. Neighbors were very noisy, had to call 2x around midnight. Staff came and put a stop to it (2nd time finally worked) and gave us a generous discount for the trouble (before we even asked). This customer service rates 5 stars.

The rooms were well kept and clean. The design and decor was typical for a courtyard and the staff was friendly. The location was close to some restaurants and shops but otherwise far from Birmingham itself. There is ample parking and the lot is well lit at night.

Althea Hopson assisted my husband who is a disabled Veteran. On our way home to plan a funeral and we always prefer a Marriott and started getting tired near Trussville. She was not only kind (especially considering our last few days), but helpful getting us a suite. The way that you treat people goes a long way. We make this trip on average between 15-20 times a year and will be staying here again because of her. The hotel is clean and the suite is spacious with comfortable beds. There is also a Starbucks and bistro downstairs. It’s a perfect place for good employees and a quiet rest.

After a full day of travel I just wanted to call down - order some food - pick it up and eat in my room while catching up on the day. Apparently that is not allowed at this hotel? No menus - even when I called the front desk they said I had to come down. I just want to order food and pick it up - NO!!! I did come down - cancelled my next two nights stays and grabbed a package of Ramen noodles. Not tomorrow! I would call the service horrible - but there was none to start with. Find a different hotel!

(This review was accidentally posted for Marriott downtown but realize it’s for the Courtyard Marriott Birmingham on 3665 Roosevelt Blvd, in Trussville, AL) Realize I travel a lot and all over the world and this probably was the dirtiest nastiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve never seen what I saw in this room before so be wary and read on now. The first night I got in late and just crashed but noticed the bathroom had a pugnantly strong stench of mildew and this only got worse when I took a shower the next morning … I was off early and came home late to expect my room cleaned and bed made, but guess again. No biggie right ? Well I went out to eat and crashed again in order to wake up early and exercise, and so I pulled out a chair to quickly make more space and I noticed it was filthy behind it and so I instinctively pulled out the one next to it and I was literally shocked and floored to see these brown specs on the floor and when I get up closer I realized they were rat 🐀 rat droppings and they looked fresh.., So this management team obviously cuts a lot of corners but I’ve never been in a room where I’ve found rat turds and I’m horrified because i stay at Marriott’s all the time and with my family and have never encountered a room this filthy… and to think that the hotel could be overrun with rats freaked me out so much and I had to leave a night early and report this but I don’t expect much from the management here because the obviously are unable to keep this place up to basic public safety standard. I’ll report to local heath department asap. See pictures it’s nasty 🤮 and what’s worse is I paid over 200 per night to stay in this rat trap…judging Marriotts standard going downhill

Stayed in a King room with a sofabed. No linens in room for the sofa bed. Called the desk and had to cart them from the desk myself at 8 pm- no one could bring them up to the second floor apparently. Staff was friendly, but hotel seemed understaffed. Cafe was closed! Didn't know that until checkin unfortunately. Football game was playing loudly in lobby (guess that's somewhat to be expected in the area maybe).
