Sakuntala Village Resort

Rooms are not clean properly, beds are not good, room service poor, foods are very bad in quality as well as in quantity, swimming pool with very dirty water,

1. No balcony in rooms. 2. According to customers foods are not available. 3. 1st day room no 37 were terriblely bad. 4. In swimming were contained green type turbid water, impossible for swimming. 5. No almira in rooms. 6. Toilet are not properly cleaned. 7. A suffocating environment in rooms. 8. Daily cleaning were not done. 9. Towels are not cleaned.

We (5 girls) stayed here and booked 2 rooms. They allotted 1 room in the 1st floor and other room in the ground floor. The connecting staircase was very dark, there was no light, we felt safety issues. Food quality was below average. Lunch was not prepared even at 1 p. M. They served no bhaja, after a long wait, they served only sakbhaja with dal. The only thing which we liked is the swimming pool. We enjoyed it.

Good resort neat and clean but it takes enough time if you place an order. Sometimes it doesn't come

Makemytrip took away all the money from this booking. The rooms we stayed is 2600 with breakfast. Without 1800. We paid 3500 without breakfast per room. When i booked for 2 nights they showed the same amount but for 1 night. I hv evidence. Will rightly present in a right place. Am too occupied now. For next day again i booked and for one room approx 5k. For all of us. They cheated here also. The rooms they shows and the room we get are completely different.

*nightmare stay at shakuntala village resort, shantiniketan* i recently had the misfortune of staying at shakuntala village resort, and it was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences i've ever had. From the moment i arrived, it was clear that the resort was far from the advertised standards. First and foremost, the room was in an appalling state. It was dirty, with dust accumulating on surfaces and stained linens that hadn’t been changed. The worst part was the foul smell emanating from the toilet. The lack of windows made it unbearable, as there was no way to air out the unpleasant odor. It felt as if i was trapped in a poorly maintained facility. To add to the discomfort, the air conditioning unit was leaking water, creating a puddle on the floor. I had to constantly navigate around it to avoid slipping. When i approached the manager, hoping for some assistance or at least an acknowledgment of my concerns, i was met with rudeness and arrogance. Instead of taking responsibility, he dismissed my complaints as if they were trivial. It was incredibly frustrating and left me feeling disrespected as a guest. Additionally, the television in my room was not working. A service boy came to try and fix it, but he was unable to resolve the issue. This was particularly disappointing as i had hoped to relax with some entertainment after my long journey. To top it all off, at first, we were told that roti would be available for dinner. However, when the time came, we were informed that the manager had instructed the staff to make tandoori roti instead of tawa roti, which was not what we wanted. This left us with no choice but to opt for outside food from ram shyam, a restaurant right next to shakuntala. Moreover, there was no light in front of the resort, making it difficult to navigate the area at night. This not only added to the overall sense of neglect but also raised safety concerns. The broken window in my room only compounded the issues. It not only compromised my safety but also let in noise from outside, disrupting any chance of a peaceful stay. The entire environment felt neglected and unwelcoming, i expected much better accommodations and service. Overall, my experience at shakuntala village resort was deeply disappointing. The lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and unacceptable customer service made for a miserable stay. I strongly advise anyone considering this resort to look elsewhere. It simply does not meet the standards one would expect, and i certainly won't be returning.
