Montage Big Sky

Amazing trip at an amazing resort. 5 stars across the board, from the hotel to the staff and everything in between. Thank you Montage Big Sky for a truly memorable experience. We can’t wait to return again for some amazing skiing and service.

This was our second time staying at The Montage Big Sky, previously Summer 2023, so first in winter! It’s truly a magical paradise and winter wonderland. The management at Montage BS knows how to do it right. GM Christian at the healm, alongside Joan, are always around the property. They’re engaging, welcoming and checking in - very approachable. Oscar, in charge of Food & Beverage, was wonderful checking in - sharing different fun facts of the hotel, different menu items and favorites of other Montage properties. Our visit started off with a 10 thanks so much to Dominic who dropped champagne and macaroons as we settled in our room. Plus gave us tips for a European Ski adventure! The process of being fitted at Compass Sports is a dream - so many on staff and it’s the most luxurious experience being prepped and waited on for the slopes. We love how so many of the staff at Montage come from all over the world - their stories are just as much fun as staying at the hotel! The restaurants are superb. Easy items at Wildflower including homemade pastries and soups - so good! We loved daily breakfast at Cortina while overlooking the mountains. The buffet for $16 for kids is the best deal! Our morning convos with Genius were a kid’s highlight. We had one of the best meals we’ve ever had at Cortina for dinner and as Italians we are picky! The recommendations from Daniel on food and wine were spot on. The parpadelle bolognese - insane! Driving and getting around is super easy. There are daily shuttles to Big Sky resort and getting a ride into Town Center is never a problem. The drives are scenic and beautiful! We loved getting local tips from our drivers Truman, Andres and D from Brooklyn! Of course there’s the popular suggestions but we loved their off the path suggestions. The kindest drivers and bell staff - thank you Daniel! The rooms are incredibly beautiful and comfortable. During the holidays are elves also traveled with us and the housekeeping staff were adorable and kind playing along. Nilo and Peta-ka were so wonderful leaving the little elves on our kid’s pillows for turn down. Anything you could need, they check in on. I didn’t want to come home after being so spoiled! We spend a lot of time at Alpenglow - during the day, enjoying live music in the evening with various local artists or grabbing a quick snack. Again, the staff is amazing - Trevor, Patrick and Ashanti left their marks! Post ski every day our family would enjoy the spa and James was a favorite putting extra cherries in the shirley temples. The evening smores remain a top highlight for the kids! We are counting down coming back and cannot thank the entire team at the Montage Big Sky for being so kind, generous and making it feel like our true home away from home.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and hospitable. I really enjoyed my stay here & I loved that they recommended so many activities to do on the town outside of the resort. I loved the fact that they have ski-in and ski-out at the resort. The spa is a must! The pool is stunning.

The Montage Big Sky is truly a crown jewel in the mountains of Montana. The staff is absolutely amazing and so friendly and accommodating. The resort and the rooms are beautiful, yet so comfortable you don’t want to leave! Also, the location is fantastic with its ski in ski out location to Big Ski Resort. I highly recommend Montage Big Sky Resort to everyone, especially couples and families!

Everything during our recent stay at The Montage Big Sky was perfect and exceeded expectation. Despite being off season, the staffing was spot on, and we found plenty to do in the surrounding area (Yellowstone National Park for one). Upon our arrival we were taken on a tour of the hotel, which is the largest building in the state. The views from the enormous picture windows were stunning. Fires in several sitting areas created a welcoming ambiance. Our bedroom even had a fireplace that we used every morning. We enjoyed a kraft cocktail before dinner each evening and were treated like longtime friends by the bar staff. The main dining room had a variety of offerings, all of which had unique twists and presentations. One of my favorites was their take on burrata cheese with imported from Italy heirloom tomatoes. Speaking of Italy, we loved the homemade pasta bolognese. The resort also has a bakery where guests can enjoy artistic sweets and freshly made to-go items if they will be away seeing sights or hiking for the day. Our room was spacious with high-end appointments and amenities, including bath salts and a loofah. From servers to facility managers, everyone addressed us by name and made us feel welcome in every venue. Five stars rent enough!

My husband and I were immediately greeted on the front drive and offered a delicious local welcome drink. All the bellmen throughout our stay were incredible and attentive. The front desk agent from Switzerland gave us a great tour of the property before showing us to our unit. They offered complimentary yoga each morning at 7am, Jennifer is a great instructor! Alexis in IRD was great, when we delivered our dinner, he set it up on our table for us. We dined at Alpen Glow twice and both Eli and Jordanne were great! Cortina is their fine dining Italian restaurant and Peter was a great server too, didn't miss a beat. Jane was awesome in Wildflower with the assistance of making our order to go for our road trip home. We also got to utilize their Compass Sports and take out a couple e-bikes while we were there. Jon was incredible with guiding us where to go along with telling us where to go find some petrified wood. Caleb and Emily were also great from Compass sharing fun ideas of what to do in the area. We had a great check-in and check-out experience! I wish I remembered names. Thank you for an incredible stay that provided us with lasting memories!
