Portik Hotel

Stayed here for one night with the family as part of our Balkan tour. Our tour company arranged for the hotel so not sure of the price. We found the hotel to be good for a one-night stay. Looks new and clean and the location is a big plus. You can easily walk to all the major attractions and restaurants in Berat. There is also a huge supermarket attached to the hotel, which is a big plus as well. We had some issues with the internet, but that was quickly resolved when we raised it with the reception.

Staff at checkin extremely unfriendly and not willing to help the guests. Rooms are big, but bathroom too small and not very clean. All in all not corresponding to a 4star hotel. Would not choose the hotel again.

Beautiful hôtel and spacious room. Localisation is perfect for close visits (Berat castle), not far from a lot of restaurants, and supermarket connected with the hôtel. Breakfast was good with choice. The staff was very friendly. I recommend.

Very nice and modern hotel. Large and clean double room with a third bed, lovely marble bathroom with walk-inn shower with great water pressure and some amenities. 5 from the 6 power sockets are perfect reachable, enough to re-load your batteries. Location is great, walking distance to the promenade along the river is 5 minutes. Had diner, (and breakfast), on the rooftop restaurant...what a lovely place with a great view ! The breakfast was OK. Wine, starting from 20-25€ per bottle, way too expensieve for Albania. Staff was friendly and spoke good English. Can highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is new and very stylish. We stayed for two days and really enjoyed our stay. The receptionist was very friendly and showed us rooms before accommodation. We chose a city view room on the upper floor. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious. Breakfast is served on the rooftop restaurant. I enjoyed the fact that they prepare for you anything you ask. It was a buffet breakfast but they made omelet and pancakes upon our request, in order to be fresh. As a late morning sleeper, I enjoyed the fact to be served warm food.

Newly renovated, and done very cheaply with no concept of qualify in the furthest stretch of imagination. Bathroom sink has zero counter space. NONE at all ! Big space to the right of the sink to the wall, where a counter could fit, but not even space for a glass for brushing your teeth. Power outlet is UNDER the desk, rather than on top. Then desk is bolted to wall, so you cannot put cables behind it. Cables must drape around the front, and requires crawling under desk to plug in. Brainless design that would have cost zero to do properly. Power outlets are Albanian. For an upscale tourist hotel just renovated??? Why not put universal plugs in every outlet in the wall, as all rationally designed Asian hotels have done for the last decade? The shower door is NOT tempered glass, regardless of the label. Another member of our party had the door shatter when she tried to open it. Glass all over the floor, with lots of sharp edges and badly cut feet as she escaped the shower. I could go on. Really I could. Absolutely "cheapest bid" renovation done by someone with zero hotel design experience. STAY AWAY!

· Absolutely in love with the hotel. First of all the location. Very easy to reach by car (underground parking also available ), walking distance to all attractions, many restaurants and shops around. Second the hotel is brand new and its sparkling clean. Rooms are spacious and very cozy. The most comfortable bed i have ever slept on. Seriously, slept as a baby after long day in the city. Beautiful view from the room over the hill and old neighborhood of Mangalem. The staf is very helpful! Just perfect! Bathroom has all amenities. Hosts are very helpful nice and kind people, they suggested us everything where to go and what to do in Berat. I strongly this hotel for your stay!
