Sensira Resort & Spa Riviera Maya

We just came back from a great vacation at Sensira and we had an amazing time ! The staff was 10/10 amazing but Angel from the entertainment team was the best best best !!! He went above and beyond for us! I would go back just for him ! Ty for a great time !

The entertainment at this hotel is great, so much for kids to do. The entertainment staff was very engaging with hte kids and it made the experience one to remember. Special shoult out to Angel who stood out among a great group. He raeally went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy. He is a great asset to the hotel.

Cons: I have been in Cancun last 7 years about 10 times, only twice at the same hotel but Sensira had by far the lowest grading for food options. I can not believe in 7 days stay, I didn't see a single time shrimps, calamari or any other sea food (other than local fish which was kind of boiled instead of grilled and really hard to eat). Two of the days for lunch they had uncooked shrimps, that they will do them by ordering (10-15 minutes wait time) and then, they literally would give you 3 small shrimps and fill your plate with chicken. When I asked them to add some more, she added 2 more pieces and gave me that look like I took something out of her plate. Thanks god they had a beach bar called "snack-bar" or something that was serving cheese quesadillas, french fries and some salad from 11:30 to 4:30pm so at least you eat something. Limited number of Pool side umbrellas for shade (probably 10-15 for the entire resort. Pros: They had shows every night at the theater "FORO", which were a good way to spend a 45 minutes to 1 hour time and enjoy a drink in the mean time. There were three big pools for adults and one for kids, even though not sure why the water was really cold the entire time (75-77 Fahrenheit per Apple watch measuring) and the water on the beach itself was at 86-88 Fahrenheit). They had one restaurant, The steakhouse, which was supper great food but it was so hard to get a place in there since that required reservation. When we reserved the place, it was for three days later.

It was definitely a trip to remember! All the staff were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make everything happy! The entertainment staff were amazing, especially Angel, and the shows were awesome. The food was absolutely delicious and Hever was the best, so attentive!

This hotel in Cancun had the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I expect top-notch service when I go on an expensive vacation, but that wasn’t the case here. Every aspect of my stay was a struggle. Getting a plate or fork to eat was a hassle. I needed to find someone to get me water, which should have been brought to me. When I sat at a table to eat, I expected a waiter to come over and ensure that the table was clean, that I had silverware, glasses, water, and napkins. Every little thing was a struggle. The bartenders were indifferent and didn’t pay attention to us. We had to scream to get a drink. Our room ran out of shower gel and conditioner. It literally took them 3 days and 9 phone calls to finally get it. Extremely frustrating. We asked for our luggage to be picked up at 8 am, but they only came at 8:20. I couldn’t eat breakfast before my flight because I was waiting for them. It took another 20 minutes to check out. There was only one person working at the desk, and they were struggling with the credit card terminal for a while. There should have been four other people behind that front desk, considering the line was getting really big to check out. The facilities were nice, though. The pool area and lobby area were all very nice. The beach wasn’t so nice, though. There was a lot of seaweed, which is expected in this area this time of year. The beach chairs and lounges weren’t great either. Most were breaking and uncomfortable, which was okay. And again, it was a struggle to get someone to set up an umbrella. No one came over to ask if we wanted drinks. The service is where this hotel fails terribly. I would never stay here again.

We had an incredible experience at Rodeo Grill thanks to the outstanding service from Anna and Carlos! From start to finish, they took such great care of us — attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm. Anna went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and Carlos was just as fantastic. You can really tell they care about their guests. The food was amazing, and the service made it even better! Thank you Anna and Carlos — you’re the best! We’ll definitely be back!
