Luna Sea Inn

Wir hatten keine tolle Erfahrung und mussten unsere Zeit verkürzen; Nur nicht eine Nacht statt zwei. Wir checkten an diesem Abend gegen 18 und 19 Uhr ein. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich, allerdings war das erste Zimmer ein Raucherzimmer (oder roch so), und ich wünschte, sie hätten etwas gesagt, bevor sie uns das Zimmer zeigten. Ich wollte mich nicht beschweren, aber als der schlüssellose Türschlüssel nicht funktionierte und sie den eigentlichen Zimmerschlüssel nicht finden konnten, wurde das problematisch. Wir wurden in ein anderes Zimmer nebenan verlegt, das ein Nichtraucherzimmer war und viel besser roch. Das Zimmer war dunkel, da es in der Nähe des Bettes keine Deckenbeleuchtung gab. Wir duschten und gingen zu Bett... ereignislos. Am nächsten Morgen, als es heller war, bemerkten wir, dass die Handtücher schmuddelig und fleckig waren … sie hätten weggeworfen werden sollen! Wir packten schnell und beschlossen, um 8 Uhr aufzubrechen. Da das Frühstück für Übernachtungsgäste kostenlos war, entschieden wir uns, Frühstück zu geben … großer Fehler. Der Service im Restaurant war langsamwwwwww. Wir warteten 30 Minuten, bis das Restaurant öffnete/den Betrieb aufnahm. Das Frühstück wurde 1 Stunde und 20 Minuten nach der eigentlichen Öffnung serviert. Über die Qualität des Essens kann ich nicht wirklich etwas sagen, da meine hungrigen Kinder inzwischen den Verstand verloren haben. Ich hätte diesen Ort gerne genießen wollen, da er eine großartige Lage und wunderschöne Landschaften bietet, aber die schlechte Pflege der Handtücher, die dunklen, schmuddeligen Zimmer und die nicht funktionierenden, schlüssellosen Türen machten diesen Ort unterdurchschnittlich.

We (family of four, two kids 12 and 14) had a superb meal at Luna Sea while in Jamaica. Lovely place, clean, great view, friendly staff and the food was exceptional. Some of the best pasta I've ever tasted, and I've been to Italy. Would highly recommend.

Review for Luna Sea Inn Our stay at Luna Sea Inn was absolutely unforgettable, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the incredible staff, especially Martha, who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. She was instrumental in organizing our transportation around the island, and my family couldn’t stop singing her praises throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had breathtaking views of the ocean from every angle. Waking up to the sound of the waves was the perfect start to each day. While the beach is small, it’s easily accessible and we had a blast using the paddle boards. We also really appreciated having a mini-fridge in the room, especially for storing formula bottles—such a thoughtful touch for families. The hotel is incredibly kid-friendly, which made it an ideal spot for our family. One of the best features of Luna Sea Inn was the bar and restaurant on-site. It was so convenient to have a place to relax with amazing food and drinks without having to leave the property. The waitstaff and bartenders were exceptional—10/10. It was wonderful to see the same friendly faces each day, and getting to know the staff personally made our stay even more special. I truly wish I had taken more pictures with them, as they were such an important part of our experience. Now, let me talk about our wedding! The views for our ceremony were unbelievable, and the hotel took care of every detail, from food and drinks to flowers, decorations, and even MC’ing the event. They arranged for hair and makeup as well. I cannot recommend getting a flower crown enough—such a beautiful addition! Having our wedding on-site was the best decision; knowing that the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception were all taken care of in one place made the whole experience seamless and stress-free. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready with my bridal party, and my bouquet was simply gorgeous. If you’re considering Luna Sea Inn for a wedding, I wholeheartedly recommend it—especially for a small group. For larger groups, I would suggest keeping the party size to about 8-10 people. We had a group of 18+, and while everything was still wonderful, I feel that a smaller group would have made the experience even smoother, especially with the size of the restaurant and accommodations. For our next visit, we plan to return with a smaller group of 6. All in all, Luna Sea Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff’s kindness, professionalism, and genuine care for their guests were a huge part of what made our stay so amazing. We are already looking forward to our next trip and can’t wait to return—without the kids next time! Luna Sea Inn has definitely earned a special place in our hearts, and I’m so happy to have found this gem in Jamaica. Thank you, Luna Sea Inn, for making our trip—and our wedding—so unforgettable!

First night we had dinner, then went back for breakfast. two breakfast mornings in a row we ordered the Jamaican breakfast cause why not. we had ackee and saltfish. Friendly staff. Gorgeous view. Loved it. Would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Luna Sea Inn.

As returning visitors we were very sad to see Luna Sea in such a sorry state. We last visited in 2019 when Dr Linda and her excellent team ran it. I understand a new owner took over just last month but the rot must have set in a while ago. Lobby area and central courtyard area is messy and dusty. Staff were surprised to see us despite us having a booking. We spotted the staff hastily putting an extra bed in our room while we waited (without explanation). Room had a strange smell, it lacked frills. Blinds broken and tatty. Door seal hanging off. Pool not operative. Food at dinner and breakfast was nice if on the expensive side but can staff please learn that customers need water and shouldn’t have to ask for it. Also staff shouldn’t be shouting outside rooms at 8 am or cleaning leaves while smoking dope. New owner - you need to up your game in terms of decor, ambience and staff performance if you want to continue to charge boutique hotel prices. This is no longer a boutique hotel.

Barely maintained, poor to non existent housekeeping, rooms not as advertised. Broken safes, dodgy wiring, dirty pool. What contradicts is the serving and hospitality staff are wonderful and the restaurant is good. Eat there for sleep there.
