Albergo Cappello e Cadore

Our group stayed at Albergo Cappello on the eight and ninth (final) night of our trek on the AV1 in the Dolomites. (The remainder of our baggage had been routed here, so it was a nice bonus to wear something new after 8 days on the trail.) The LOCATION was by far the best feature - In the center of old town, between the cathedral and the main square, and with scores of restaurants & shops a short walking distance away. It was also a 10-minute walk from the bus and train stations, both of which we used. (A bus from the last trailhead; a train to Venice the last morning). As it turns out, there wasn't much choice, since there weren't many hotels in this area. As for the rooms, mine was small and dark, despite being on the top floor. The hotel was obviously older, with several generations of updates and renovations under the surface. But...It still felt luxurious to have a private room, private shower, and air conditioning after so many days of sharing bathrooms and bunks. The staff was friendly; the front desk guy seemed to be managing almost everything. He was very patient when I called to say the AC unit in my room wasn't working - It turned out there were two controllers, and the one on the wall wasn't functional (A sign would have been nice) Breakfast was very OK. Not quite as good as some of the spreads we had in the mountains, but good enough to keep us going for a few hours. Overall we had a decent stay here. Despite my momentary perception of relative luxury, I must put my "realism glasses" back on to rate the place - it felt about average for an Italian hotel.

We stayed Albergo Cappello after our Dolomites hike, and it was obvious a popular choice for other hikers in the region. They accepted our luggage transfer from other hotel and stored our luggage for us until we arrived. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was quite nice.

This hotel has an old fashioned feel to it, but I found it clean and quiet. There must be two classes of rooms in this hotel because my room looked nothing like the official photos. Breakfast was simple but good.

La location dell'hotel è perfetta in pieno centro di Belluno. Camere standard per un 3 stelle. Riscaldamento delle stanza un po rumoroso. Bagno molto piccolo. Parcheggio auto molto piccolo ma li vicino c'è una piazza do e si può parcheggiare (se si trova il posto che non è così scontato). Colazione standard per un 3 stelle. Discreta scelta scelte mentre per il salato la scelta è limitata.

L’albergo è molto ben curato, arredato con gusto, stanza ampia e pulita, il bagno aveva la doccia con il Bluetooth. La colazione abbondante e il personale super cordiale. Si trova al centro vicino al centro storico e alla stazione del treno e degli autobus (per chi possiede la macchina c’è il parcheggio gratuito). Il soggiorno è stato molto piacevole.

Sono andata a trovare dei miei amici e con la mia famiglia abbiamo soggiornato in questo Albergo per 3 notti. Lo abbiamo trovato molto accogliente, pulito, personale attento e competente. Ottima colazione. Posizione comoda per chi arriva in Treno, Camere comode a prezzo competitivo. Sicuramente ritorneremo.
