Enttäuscht über unsere erste Wahl von Haustierefreundlicher Kabine - en-suite Studio-Kabine - rundown und alt... anders als die Fotos sahen. Wir wechselten zu einer Familie Villa. Obwohl das besser war, könnte es noch mit einer Aktualisierung gemacht - es war teuer für das, was wir haben. Hauptschlafzimmer ist klein, keinerlei Platz zu platzieren Taschen oder Kleidung. Bad auch klein. Die Außenlounge-Stühle brauchen neue Decken, da die Zips gebrochen und die Stühle schmutzig, wie es der Frontdeck war. Das zweite Schlafzimmer ist eine angemessene Größe mit einem kleinen Schrank. Die Lounge-Zone ist geräumig. Wir fanden das Personal freundlich und untergebracht. Auch wollte ich sagen, die neuen Kabinen auf der Seite des Strandes sind frisch und brandneu und sehen mehr untergebracht aus, aber es ist enttäuschend, dass keiner von ihnen tierfreundliche Kabinen sein wird.

I was looking for a stopover on my way to Queensland and thought I would find a suitable B & B in this area. I took a chance on this establishment and I wasn't disappointed. There are 3 rooms available and I decided on the Queen room, which had the separate bathroom across the hall. It was a nice set up and having the detached bathroom is better than having an ensuite attached, as it was a larger area but still private. I made good use of the bath after a long days drive from Sydney. The downstairs common area was large and inviting, which I didn't really use it because of my one night stay. It would be very handy if I was staying for a few days or more. The B & B is located a little bit back from the river and the main road, which means there were no traffic or noise issues and a short walk up a hill didn't worry me at all. It gets busy in the school holidays and the restaurants can get booked out, so I had dinner at the golf club nearby. That was a good decision. It would have been a pleasant walk to the club, but it was too cold and dark to walk along the river in the Winter months! Breakfast was great that morning and the host was very pleasant to deal with. It is hard to say anything negative about my experience and booking with them direct saved me a few dollars. I would stay here again.

It was an arrive late and leave early for our visit to Belfry, we were heading north and on a strict timetable. I hate the tile and disinfected motels on the side of the Pacific Hwy. Belfry is in the middle of the culinary, coffee, cafe scene of the mid north coast. It is a delightful old house, tastefully designed. The bedroom had a comfortable, cozy bed that produced a sleep filled night. The shared bathroom was spotless with soul cleansing hot water. I didn’t use the kitchen but it was large and well equipped. The verandah outside the bedroom was spacious and would have been ideal to sit, with coffee, enjoying the waking of the day. A most pleasant place to stay. I only have one criticism, and that’s aimed at me. I should have stayed longer!
