Residence L'Ulivo

We’ve just returned from a three night stay here and can easily recommend. We had a large apartment and it provided more than enough space for the two of us, especially when you consider that we only really needed a base to shower and sleep. The kitchen seemed to have everything you need (not having a coffee machine - or even cafetière is unusual for a European apartment, but I checked on this beforehand so it wasn’t a surprise). Bathroom was fully stocked with toiletries. There’s a small supermarket a 5min walk away to stock up on drinks and snacks for when you’re not out and about. Also a pharmacy very close by should you need it. Full use of the main hotel is great, felt no different to any other resident. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel (€30 pp seemed steep even for Bellagio) but we did eat in La Goletta and had several cocktails from the hotel and pool bar, all was of very high quality but also very expensive. There probably are cheaper apartments in Bellagio, but none of them will provide you with the experience of being a guest at the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni, just being able to use the entrance when others are walking past makes you feel very fancy. All in all, it’s an easy recommend. Let’s face it, you don’t go to Bellagio for a bargain break so you might as well splash out a little.

We had a great stay at Residence L'Ulivo for 3 nights. The price is great value compared to other options in walking distance to Bellagio, as well as having access to Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni facilities including the incredible lakeside pool. The main hotel is a 2 minute walk from the apartments so did feel slightly separate, but not an issue when you're paying a faction of the price and all the staff still treat you like a hotel guest. The apartment was well equipped, clean and large. The location is amazing, Bellagio is a lot quieter once the last ferry boat departs around 7pm, and it was great to experience the bars and restaurants without so many tourists. Good location on the lake for visiting other towns via the public ferry boats, the hotel also has a private jetty if you want to organise a private boat which I would recommend for a few hours (Bellagio Charter). Would love to stay again and recommending to anyone wanting to stay in Bellagio!

Spacious apartment for a family of four. The apartment was clean and a good layout. It centrally located and easy walking distance from the beautiful little town. Great sporting facilities and you permitted to make use of the hotel’s facilities. It even had a tennis court. Great value for money and vey affordable. The staff is amazing.

This Residence, while well located, does not have air conditioning, and being on the third floor is VERY HOT. I complained to the front desk and they sent an electrical fan, which is like blowing hot air in your face. In addition, the decor is grandmother’s Spartan, the ugliest room in my three week trip from Venice to Milán. I could go on about the lack of an elevator, lousy bed sheets and cheap pillows… In summary, stay away from this place, it will kill your enthusiasm!

Vacances sur le Lac de Côme en famille et nous cherchions un établissement qui avait une piscine intérieur. L’ulivo est un excellent compris. Il se situe à côté du Grand Hôtel Villa Serbelloni ***** dont il fait partie. L’hôtel est magnifique mais quand on a pas les moyen de se payer 3 nuits pour 4500€…. La résidence Appart est très bien. On bénéficie de l’accès à l’hôtel et des prestations qu’elle propose. On a pu profiter de la piscine intérieur et de l’espace détente transats extérieur sur une plage de sable fin face au Lac. L’eau de la piscine extérieur était trop froide encore pour la saison. Nous avons aussi pu profiter du petit dej (32€/personne) un peu cher mais c’est un buffet continentale 5etoiles). Concernant l’appartement, il est propre, spacieux avec le linge de toilette et de lit fournis ainsi qu’une éponge, 3 torchons et une éponge. Le gros point négatif, nous avons eu le logement N°3 parmi ceux qui donnent sur le jardin et y rester est un cauchemar. Effectivement sur le 1er niveau de situe le spa et la salle de sport. Les tuyaux de chaufferie passe sous le planché des appartement au 2ème niveau. Il faisait une chaleur insupportable. La réception nous a expliqué que la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas car la température extérieur était trop douce encore…. Sauf que dans l’appartement il devait faire 30°C!!!! L’hôtel nous a donc fournis 2 ventilateurs mais compliqué de dormir avec le bruit constant du ventilateur. De plus a partir de 22h le soir et 7h le matin, il y a pas mal de bruit, je pense que c’est ke service de ménage du spa qui travaille en dehors des horaires d’ouvertures…. Bref si je peux vous donner un conseil, réservez une chambre a l’ étage. Nous avons signalé le problème à la réception de l’hôtel lors fe notre départ et leurs précisant que ce problème avait déjà était mentionné sur TripAdvisor. Ils nous ont fait un geste commercial sur le prix du séjour. Pour résumé, la situation de la résidence est idéal pour visiter le lac. L’hôtel est somptueux. La résidence offre un bon compromis pour les petit budget. Juste choisir un appartement à l’étage pour éviter les déconvenues citées plus haut.
