I'll start with the good - there was plenty of parking and the bed was comfortable! As for the rest of the Willows, the building is old, the inside is tired, run down and in need of complete refurbishment - as a bare minimum, the whole place needs a really good clean. The rooms and bathrooms are basic and at best functional. The carpets in the corridors are rucked up and serious trip hazards; the fire doors have holes in them where handles have been changed (what sort of fire door is that?). You get the gist... They are understaffed - we had to wander around the building trying to find someone to serve us at the bar on our first night. On the second night, there were just 2 young and inexperienced staff behind the bar despite there being a function for over 100 people. The wait was ridiculous, the staff didn't know their red wines from their white, and the drinks were overpriced - £1.70 for a dash of blackcurrant, £6.50 for a pint of beer! As for security, it's a joke. On returning to our room one evening we found that the cleaner had opened the window and left it wide open all day - and I mean WIDE open. Bearing in mind the room was on the ground floor, anyone could have climbed in and helped themselves to our belongings. The whole experience is one I would not choose to repeat. I have just tried to fill in the customer experience questionnaire, which Wyboston Lakes emailed a link for - but guess what... the link doesn't work! That sums up Wyboston Lakes and the Willows.

Als ich ankam, war die Selbstkontrolle gut, aber keine Karte des Platzes oder Signatur zu den Zimmern bedeutete, ich musste andere Gäste bitten, mich zu leiten. Es gab niemand auf der Rezeption oder zu sehen, außer diesem Typ Paar. Später ging ich ein Getränk holen und fand, dass die Bar geschlossen war und bestellt werden musste, nachdem ich einen Mitarbeiter tötete. Als sie sagten, ich konnte nicht nur für mein Bier zahlen, sondern musste meine Kreditkarte vorauszugeben für £50 (so musste ich es prüfen, bevor ich am Morgen verließ) dachte ich, ich würde nur zu einem lokalen pub gehen und fragte, wo ich einen finden könnte. Die Haupttüren waren verschlossen und die einzigen Ausgänge, wo über den Park oder eine dunkle Schrubbystraße. Aber als einsamer Frau habe ich das nicht gedacht. Ich entschied, dass ich kein Bier benötigt habe, das sehr ...I zurück in mein Zimmer kehrte und ein freundlicher Pflegemann traf mir Mitleid und bekam ein Bier für mich und erlaubte mir, nur für ihn zu bezahlen. Keine Ahnung, warum das nicht möglich war, dass der Empfänger zustimmen? Ich liebe es nicht. Vielleicht ist es besser in einer Woche Nacht.

Marcure Hotel is a nice place to be, the serenity of the place is awesome. Excellent staff support and breakfast was good. The location is in the centre of Bedford making it a very enjoyable place to be. Though Car Park is paid for, but the experience is worth repeating.

The hotel is in a lovely location by the river and overall we enjoyed our stay. The service at reception was friendly and welcoming, Our room was spacious and clean. The only downside was the window was very difficult to open. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The restaurant was busy but well staffed with good service. I was disappointed by the choice of food and chose the haddock and chips. When it came the fish was very small. My husband had the duck leg and also was disappointed with the size of the portion. On arrival at breakfast there were no clean tables. We were asked to start getting our food while a table was cleaned. I said no we will wait til it’s clean. Breakfast was nice and lots of freshly cooked food. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the restaurant let it down slightly.

Wir hatten einen Übernachtungsurlaub in diesem Hotel. Wir waren eine Familie von 3 und teilten ein Zimmer. Das Personal war sehr willkommen und effizient auf dem Frontdesk, als wir angemeldet waren. Einmal im Zimmer waren wir sehr angenehm überrascht zu sehen, wie gut das Bett ausgezogen war für meinen ältesten Sohn. In der Tat war es ein Doppelbett. Es war sehr hart und hatte eine sehr anständige Matrix auf ihm (im Gegensatz zu anderen Top-Bewertungen, die wir auf ). Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte alles, was Sie brauchen könnten, einschließlich Eisen und Eisenbrett als Standard. Das Frühstück war eine süße Sache und das Personal war ständig füllend, als sie liefen. Alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt zu einem Superpreis. Wir werden sicherlich wieder hier bleiben, wenn wir wieder Familie besuchen.

At least 3 times a year a group if us go for a quilting retreat. All the feedback is so positive. Great staff, friendly, welcoming, flexible. So clean and food- overfed and so much choice. Booked for 3 events in 2023 already and about to book for 2024. So glad we found this place.

It had been a while since we visited the Carrington Arms, but we'll be sure to return again soon. Such a great mixture of relaxed & friendly welcome and service combined with excellent food - a rare combination to get right. Especially as it was pretty busy for a Tuesday evening, with a couple of large groups. Despite this, we never felt service was slow or that we weren't looked after perfectly. Will was really helpful and friendly - as were all the staff - including those at the steak counter, where the option to select your meat is a great experience. We'll be back!

Fantastic. Greeted by a friendly and cheerful lady who then personally shows you to your room. Restaurant and bar staff friendly and nothing g too much trouble (Emilia) lovely girl and then breakfast in the morning sun again very friendly lady serving breakfast. Felt like you knew everybody. Rooms beautiful and food great. Would recommend

Wir haben in den letzten zwei Tagen eine fantastische Erfahrung in diesem Hotel verbracht ! Die Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit , unser Zimmer war spotless , sehr sauber und gemütlich und ich mag diese Rezeption rufen Ihr Zimmer innerhalb von 20 Minuten von Ihrem Aufenthalt, um zu sehen, ob unsere Zimmer ok sind , das Essen ist sehr schön und alles frisch , Mein einziger Grippe ist, dass das Frühstück nicht mit Hash Browns Lol das Hotel als Ganzes sehr willkommen ist , Trinkpreise in der Bar sind teuer und sie erlaubt Hunde in den Zimmern, die heute Morgen beim Abreisen wie bei den Veten , die mehrere Hunde zu schütteln . Nicht sicher, ob ich die Idee davon mag. Es gibt auch einen Erntegerät auf der Website, die auch schön macht. Lage ist ok, 1 Mike von einem Tesco und 2.5 Meilen von mir Einkaufszentrum. Insgesamt ein guter Aufenthalt
