The Coach House

"We were with a group waiting to board the steam train so had some time to get some lunch. Not knowing this village we purchased a sandwich and a coffee and sat on some empty benches, we chatted to a nice guy sitting at a table and continued to enjoy the lovely sunshine. This guy ran out of The coach house and screamed at us saying “when you’ve finished do NOT put your rubbish in my bin and hurry up out of here”, I asked him not to be so rude but he continued shouting, it was so embarrassing. What we hadn’t realised was, we were sitting on his benches but hadn’t purchased our food there ! He could have been civil to us but chose not to be. Avoid at all costs"

Ty Afon - River House

"We visited Ty Afron to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was the best decision! The location is perfect with amazing views of the mountains. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure we had a nice stay. The hotel and room was very clean, tidy and the interior was lovely. A tranquil and relaxing place to stay in Beddgelert and we will be back again soon!"

"We had a super 3 night stay with Mark and Annette this week. We were on the top floor in a beautiful room overlooking the river and bridge in the heart of the village. It was spotlessly clean with loads of storage, the tea/coffee and biscuits were replenished each day and the bed was also made every day, which I’ve not experienced in a B&B for a short break. The breakfast options were plentiful and if you want a cooked breaky, the portions are incredibly generous with v good quality sausages and lovely thick slices of bacon served. There’s a lovely guest lounge available with an honesty box for snacks and soft drinks, which was very handy. Parking is available a few mins walk down the road. I would absolutely stay here again and thought Beddgelert was charming. 10/10 and a gold star"
